I'm with Arseblog, it's got to be a striker, to fill the No 9 role (shirt remains vacant...) as Arsene clearly wants to run with Coq in midfield.

Ronald de Boer, Ajax Youth Academy coach, has told a Dutch football mag that he sees no qualities at all in Sanogo.

anyone believe the Krychowiak stories? I think the journos just saw the Barca-Sevilla game and decided to make up another "Arsenal watching" story.

So the manager admitting that all the title talk had caused an over confident mood going into the West Ham match. We didn't take them seriously in other words. Like Monaco at home in the CL and many previous games before and no doubt more to follow. So we were nervous and over confident. Hmmm. Makes you wonder what he actually says to the team during the week and on the matchday itself. 'It's only West Ham lads, express yourselves and don't go mad, we should win it'!

West Ham go 2 nil down at home to giants Leicester.

How badly did Wenger get his tactics wrong and the players play so poorly to lose against them?

Isnt being nervous AND over confident a contradiction?

Dont know if anyone saw this but on a show called 'Fletch and Sav' (?) on BT Sport Howard Webb says he got a decision wrong in our FA Cup game against Liverpool (2013/14) and Suarez should have had a penalty apparently.
Too late now eh?

Could well be a tough game today. Hopefully we will see some sort of reaction to last weeks performance. I'd expect Bellerin to get his place back but not sure what if any other changes AW will make.

Despite what people said, I thought Alexis did made a difference when he came on. Hopefully he'll start today, as Palace are full of confidence at the moment and will be hard to beat.

Alexis starts. Ox drops to the bench with Ramsey on the right and Bellerin back to hopefully provide better width.

Usual story - Ox drops to the bench, despite looking like the only one who was interested last week.

First decent chance spurned by Giroud.

Second chance which we have just well messed up. We do need to to be more clinical.

Giroud! Difficult chance similar to Mata's goal vs Liverpool last season

And that's the other side of Giroud.

Alexis makes such a big difference to our attacking play.

No coincidence that the tempo of our play feels a lot better with Cazorla back in the middle rather than shoved out wide like last week.

Sums us up really. All the possession and loads of chances. Palace one effort and it's level.
