Pretty poor all round tonight. Looks like Wenger is setting out to secure fourth again.

It's the Arsenal of old returning just in case anyone says the phrase 'Championship contenders in 2015/2016'. The issues are for all to see, even if it can be argued a draw is deserved at the very least.

Too many players not taking responsibility when it matters.

Looks like Fabianski is trying to prove a point. Only got ourselves to blame for being so shit in the 1st half. Complacency.com....again

Could have played all night and wouldn't have scored - one of those evenings.

Walcott twice had the chance to get in front of his man to get in the end of the cross. Failed on both occasions. Has to do better if he wants to be a striker.

Worrying now for Sunday second is unfortunately gone.

Thankfully still the midweek game to secure top 3

Swansea just sat in and couldn't break them down

7th loss of the season. Gomis gets the winner against us yet again. Swansea our new bogey team.

Hopefully they can do arsenal a favour by beating city now, didn't realise they were playing them.

The game very much matters if they want the Europa league

Almost a fully fit squad and the best "striker" we can bring on is Theo.

Need City to drop points now to stand any chance of 2nd and max points from us. Not sure why Ozil stayed on as he was having a stinker by all accounts. We really need to be out of the blocks from the off. Funnily enough playing at OT may suit us as Utd will take the game to us which might play into our hands. Not that bothered about 2nd. It would have been nice but not that important. Just don't want to finish 4th!!

Poor performance and result, brings our great run of form to an end. We're lucky we still have that game in hand but who knows what that could bring against a Sunderland side trying to avoid the drop? Could have done without this loss tonight.

Agreed in the grand scheme of things little difference between 2nd and 3rd

Oh well
No complaints, we couldnt finish when it mattered and Fabianski had the game of his life to be fair, he made some excellent saves (eg the double stop from Alexis).
Hopefully we can pick ourselves up and finish third at least.

Basically we need 4 points from Man Utd, Sund and WBA to guarantee 3rd. Though 5 points would be super guarantee it without the need of goal difference. We are plus 7 over MU so if we are going to get beat then please let it be by 1 goal and not a tonking

I hope for a good 2-0 win, the way we're playing it should be easy on paper.
Schoolboy error Grim. An experienced Gooner like yourself should know better.

Don't think flappy did have the game of his life to be honest. He made several solid saves but nothing world class really. A lot of our shots were scuffed or half hit. Another thing that irks me is than when we are playing badly in the first half which we have done numerous times in recent seasons nothing ever changes until half time. Wenger never seems to be able to change this when it is happening.

Walcott desperately needs a goal as he doesn't look much like a striker at the moment.

Just back from from the game.

Truth is, he deserved MOTM because everyone else was pants, but we made Flapianski look like a cross between Gordon Banks and Dr Octopus, for no particularly good reason at all.

First half was dire, second half was a good 45 minutes of football as it goes but of course, Chelsea would have won that game, no problem, and there lies our problem.

Of course, not much difference between 2nd and 3rd but it's really not the point. I feel we've lost a chance to lay down a marker for next season.

I'm slightly nervous about. 4th and the FA cup now because whilst we'll have those sorts of chances against Villa, for sure, if we finish like tonight, Benteke will only need the one chance.

Yeah I know what you mean. Not much real difference between 2nd and 3rd but psycholigically it is there
We cant be complacent against Villa thats for sure

Yep, no ambition from the great man or the players for that matter. Why strive for 2nd or 3rd when a comfy cosy 4th spot is always there waiting for us.

Not surprised in the slightest.
