Monreal story is from the Metro. Be the first time they've got anything right.

I watched the Roma vs Juve game. Chesney made a wonder save to keep it 2-1. Seems to have been galvanised by his move.

Question for all afc fans

Would you meet the buyout clause of £65.8m for Gonzalo Higuain at this moment in time if Cavani deal has fell through?

100% yes.

Won't happen though. Knowing Wenger we will recall Sanogo who will be 'like a new signing'

Can't believe he would off load Monreal, then again! That really would be the icing on the cake.

Is Sanogo still without goals?

I read Monreal will sign a new deal.

Rumours this evening that Flamini is off to Galatasaray.

Yes, benchwarming at Ajax. Valuable experience, he won't be doing more than that with us...

Monreal should stay, new contract makes sense.

Ofloading Flamini makes sense too, just hope we get one or two quality new faces in tomorrow. Won't happen though...

I'm not sure if anything is going to happen tomorrow for Arsenal but surely there must at least be one. Still, it's better than completely losing the plot like United have.

Nicked from elsewhere: Arsenal is about to "get the loan with OA of the Parisian Jean Kevin Augustine. Wenger is in Paris to finalize the contract #PSG, he's an 18 year old striker. AW allegedly on his way to Paris.

No idea at all if there is any truth in it.

This would be better http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/foo...day-boost.html

Extraordinary news from Madrid that the paperwork was not completed on time for the De Gea transfer.

The Spanish FA are apparently very strict on these things, which means it is Ceridian that De Gea will have to return to United.

I can't see that at all.

Yep, that's news that can keep Batdude spamming the Utd fo another 24 hours like he has for the last 72!

Seriously though it's bonkers if true.

Expect to see some action tomorrow, even if it's outward.

If the Benzema deal wasn't dead in the water, it definitely is now after the De Gea debacle.

Cavani is also a non starter. He is PSGs main man, and they have just bought Di Maria to provide him with ammunition.

Players in the rumour mill who are possibilities are Higuain, Kokorin, Yarmalenko, and Pato. Though my guess is, if we are to sign anyone today, it will come from left field as Wenger's signings usually do.

Fingers crossed.

Rumour is Wenger is ready to break the bank for a new purchase,

He's lined up a new pair of socks to wear whilst refereeing a charity football match tonight, he's admired these socks for a long time and they are 'super quality' from M&S.

However, at the same time he's also seen a pair in Primark which are a quarter of the price and which he thinks have good potential for the future. Never mind that they might be a bit thin, are a different size than he needs and totally inappropriate for the charity match tonight he thinks everyone will admire his cleverness and sock buying ability when they are 'super quality' in a few years.

The Primark socks will have one good season and then be bought by the Barcelona manager.

When his wife asks why he bought the cheap socks he can claim he 'tried' for the M&S ones.
