Am confident we will secure 3rd at least. Though MU will be up for it on Sunday. As long as we don't lose then I will be happy. Better to get the 'off' game out of the way and still able to retrieve the situation as it were. I can't help but feel we will be playing the slow tippy tappy stuff against Villa from the off and they will just get us on the break. Time to worry about that later I guess.

Theres nothing like one loss to make us nervous is there? It was a bit of a shock since we were in such good form.

It was all too predictable. Swansea came with a plan and executed it to perfection.
ODL's comments that they were too defensive are equally predictable, does he really expect teams to come and play for the win? Flappy had a decent game but none of the shots on target were good enough. We should have put at least two away but they weren't sharp enough. We had a decent 20 minutes or so, but we should not have teams like Swansea do the double over us... Next week at OT will be interesting, as will the Citeh game at Swansea. Hopefully they will draw, or Swansea will nick a win, which would boost our chances for 2nd. Next season will be interesting, that's for sure. A marked improvement as we saw the last few seasons will be the least I expect, which would see us pock up silverware (again, hopefully) and challenge for the title. All will depend on who we get in though. |

Aguero looks bang in form though. Would love a player like him at the club. As good as Swansea's gameplan was, they still gave away a few chances which City will bury imo.
Reckon we'll finish in 3rd. I think we'll need to buy a player in every position next season. The lack of depth in the striking department is worrying. I think Wenger is trying to convert Walcott into a striker to save buying a truly world class one. |

If we manage to get a point at OT, reckon we'll finish 3rd. Another loss and I'd start to worry.

Giroud's on a dry spell and looks off the pace. We desperately need a really good striker (but we have for some time). Walcott is not the man. There's no width in the side either. If he must play Walcott, play him wide. Personally I thought monday night was crying out for Rosicky, but Wenger seems to have lost the faith entirely now. I doubt we'll see him again.

Not over confident for today. Utd will be up for it and we will definitely need to improve on Monday's performance to get anything. For that we need some width and to stop endlessly trying to pass through the middle.

Am quietly confident. Rooney isn't playing, nor Carrick. I do think playing away and against a team like Utd will bring out the best in us....he says!! Swansea did a job on us and it was one of those nights. I would take a draw now if offered then secure 3rd by beating Sunderland on Wednesday.

Of Rooney, Carrick and De Gea aren't playing, that would help, just worried about RVP. He'd be up for it no doubt and will want to make a statement. |

Same here, even more so to hear that Flappy gifted City a goal...

Flappy strikes, yet again.
No one to blame but ourselves for not finding a way through him, the other night. |

Watching the Citeh game, one sees the difference a world class keeper makes; Flappy has lost the game for Swansea, but equally, Hart has rescued it for his mob with 2 superb saves.

Agreed. That's why I'm not really expecting anything. We are more than capable of beating them but depends on who is more up for it I suppose.
