Diddly. Not even a whisper (or a Kallstrom). Our main rivals have done £400 million worth of transfers and we can't find a single outfield player to improve us.
There's no striker out there in this little world we live in that is better than Giroud. ![]() I swear I will party for a week the day this man leaves our great football club. |

€70m for Cavani is way, way too much. I don't blame our club at all for shying away from that - if we were in for him in the first place.
Time to show ambition and strengthen the team where's needed. I |

Wenger is never going to change. He's too set in his ways.
When Benzema announced his decision to stay at Real that was that for Arsenal. I don't think they had any other plans to strengthen the team other than the goalkeeping area. The squad isn't terrible. The problem is Wenger hasn't got managed to get the best out of them and he won't until there's a shift in mentality and culture. Ozil will continue to go missing in games, Dear Leader'll continue to play certain others out of position and Giroud will miss chance after chance. Call me crazy but we should've gone in for RVP or Adebarndoor. Even an injury prone Robin would fit the system better than Giroud. City will comfortably win the title now and I wouldn't be surprised if Wenger's banking on that just to finish in second/third. The club is a shambles from top to bottom. When Wenger leaves I hope they clear out the board too. |

Every transfer window this happens. Every other team has pretty much done their business pretty much.
Ozil, Wellbeck, Arteta & Arshavin were all very late buys if I remember correctly. I have a feeling that Wenger was hoping that Walcott would shine up front so he wouldn't have to buy anyone. |

So who would you recommend since you seem to approve of Wenger's tight "conservative" dealings? Go for the cheap cheerful £5 million players? If you want this team to succeed then you need to cough up big money which is plain obvious, just as; MCFC, CFC, MUFC & even LFC have done... Unless you'll be happy with 4th-5th position end of season.

Never burn you're bridges in football. Looking at you Nasri as well. |

I'm glad I never got my hopes up. The thing is Arsenal have some key players which would allow us to challenge for the league. Instead Arsene Wenger seems to determine to just get in the top 4 every single season. Absolutely no ambition.

I tend to get the impression AW has no fallback plans. I suspect in his head Benzema was coming. When he didn't there was nothing else. I honestly don't think he does work for months on transfers. Remember Ozil was a last minute panic but, not a planned one.

I'm not surprised. I can't get up any enthusiasm this season. I thought it was the terrible 'summer' but there's no way on earth I'm going to fork out £95 (cat A game Red prices) to go to any games. I'm still a Red member though wondering if I can get my money back on that if I'm not going to use it? |

The season we finish 5th will be the year that something will change upstairs...
But as long as we finish 4th and spend as little as possible then the board will be happy. Maybe with the hundreds of millions that wasn't spent as allocated, they could reduce the price at the stalls..... No? Course not!!! As you can see I'm one very unhappy Gooner tonight! |

As long as Wenger gives Arsenal FC CL football nothing will change - even if we are out on our arses the moment we meet a decent team. There's money a-rollin' into the club and that's all they want. So Wenger, love him or loathe him, is there for the foreseeable. I've given up my membership, so have my two sons. But it doesn't matter one jot, as there are thousands waiting to fill the seats. Until people stop going, what do the manager or the management care - loyal fans or tourists, it's all the same to them. Let's face it, they have to find the money for Arsene's extortionate wages from somewhere, |

The manager can seek sanctuary while the interlull is on. By the time we play again then the annoyance, anger etc will have abated somewhat.

I wonder if Ladbrokes are offering odds on when he'll concede the title
