Always nice to beat stoke.

Fairly comfortable win and a clean sheet, glad Theo and Giroud got one.

3 clean sheets in a row coinciding with Gabriel coming into the team. Looking forward to his partnership with Kos getting even better.

Per will find it hard getting back into the team.

Great signing by Wenger.

I wouldn't go that far. He talks a lot of nonsense.

Mind you, you could say that about a few of our fans.

Both goals were taken very well - particularly Walcott's.

I think he has to be given a run in the side now. Just use Giroud in cup games and as an impact sub from the bench.

I believe Corbyn is an AKB. I doubt the appreciation is all that mutual though, given AW's bank balance!

Armi, you really shouldn't be too harsh on yourself, you don't always talk nonsense

@SkySportsNewsHQ: BREAKING: Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere requires surgery on hairline fracture in left leg #SSNHQ

Another out til Xmas probably. Wilshere is our new Diaby. Only a matter of time before we cut our losses and sell him.

Is it an issue with the way your medical team treat him or just bad luck?

Sounds a bit like the Welbeck affair...

They try and avoid surgery for as long as possible before giving in.

BBC are reporting approximately 3 months out so probably out until the New Year.

Here's a stat for you all

Since August 2012, Arsenal have won 52% of Premier League games with Jack Wilshere starting compared to 63% without him. (Via Opta)

Jeez Louis, at least we're OK (for now) in midfield. Hopefully Sanchez/Giroud and Walcott can stay fit a for a while, at least until Wellbeck's back anyway.

While it was good to see both Giroud and Walcott on the scoresheet, the amount of chances that were missed was far too high to just score two goals. I hope that their finishing will improve.

Someone on the radio mentioned how things seem to have got worse since Gary Lewis left. It's probably just coincidence but I have thought something similar too. Alternatively I wonder if we have changed our philosophy in treating injuries. Do we leave surgery as more of a last resort?

To be fair Butland was amazing in that match

According to FIFA 16, BFG is the best defender in the PL and the 6th best in the world.

unless it's emergency, would've thought surgery is a last resort anyhow? What I am annoyed by is that Wenger knew both Wilshere and Welbeck were long term injuries during the transfer window. When he already knows Walcott and Gibbs are made of glass, it makes his decision not to strengthen the squad (I don't buy that there weren't any good players out there) frustrating.

Satellite - to be fair to Jezza, he's introduced some fine bills http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/foot...-a2487771.html
But his AKB tweet was from 2011. Hmm.

Just read more into hairline stress fractures to the fibula.

Causes include excessive pronation, smoking, drinking and not enough rest.

Wilshere doesn't help himself trying to prevent this injury.

Quiet in here tonight!

Team news vs Dinamo Zagreb:

Ospina, Debuchy, Gibbs, Ox and Giroud start tonight. Ramsey and Bellerin didn't travel.

Wonder if Ospina is going to be our 'cup goalkeeper' the way Barca used their keepers last season.

Ospina aside, that's hardly a second string he's putting out, compared to some League Cup games.

I'm a big fan of Giroud and can't see why he gets the stick he does. Not the fastest for sure, but fantastic in the air (best we've had a for a very long time), great hold up play, deft touches around the box, and a good finisher.
