Steady the ship?? Nearly scored twice! Needs to stay back more and do some defensive work, imo.
Seems like he's playing off Giroud. Gibbs on for Alexis. Doesn't look as though Theo will come on. |

Hard fought win. Would have been a completely different 2nd half had we gone in 2-0 at half time.
An opportunity to rest the tired players midweek for the Carling Cup. Top of the league! |

It's nice to see a bit of consistency. I really hope the team can keep it up.

It's nice to see Wenger actually mixing it up. Perfect opposition for Giroud. Quote:

Stand out performance by Giroud.
Not the best striker in the PL due to his lack of pace, but what a target man - you feel he has a better than 50/50 chance of a knock down every time the ball goes long. Great finisher too, and also seems to have a very positive attitude to competition for his place. |

Today's Mirror saying Wenger to be given a two year contract expansion.

Another 3 points on the board. A bit too close for comfort at times but Everton are no mugs and their goal gave them belief. Pleased for Giroud, he took the goal well. It was good to see dare I say 'bread and butter' goals that we don't score enough of.
About to enter November which has been our nemesis month for whatever reason in the past. Swansea away next week. Hope it's a happy halloween! |

Tricky away game next, 3points will be just the ticket.
Saw that ODL may be offered a new 2-year extension and i can't help but feel that it's a bit early for that. Yes, things have improved with silverware added the last couple of seasons, but we're in no danger of losing our manager. Best to leave any contract talks until the season's over. If we keep the form going, we have a real chance of being crowned champions by the end of the season. Shame we dropped some points needlessly early at home, we could have had a nice cushion. |

I am guessing the 2 year extension has always been on the table and so is nothing new. Just the press claiming it's big news. It's up to Wenger too if he feels like carrying on after the 3 year deal is up. He always takes it to the wire contract wise. That's my take on it anyway.

Good result in the Manchester derby. We go back down to 2nd but now level on points with City.

It has been a very good weekend for us with a good win against a team we have had problems against in recent season and the draw in the Manchester Derby. It's looking much better.

I'd like to see some changes made for tomorrow's league cup fixture with Koq and perhaps Kos not starting. Cazorla, Sanchez and Ozil could perhaps do with a breather. |

I'd like to see loads of players rested tomorrow.
I'd be happy to see: Ospina Debuchy Chambers Gabriel Gibbs Arteta Reine-Adelaide Flamini Campbell Giroud Iwobi |

I think Alexis, Carzola & Ozil should be rested. It might be a chance to give the Ox a decent run out. Chambers, Arteta & Flamini I would think will start.
As long as Wenger doesn't take Wednesday for granted, they should get through. |

As long as Wenger doesn't take Wednesday for granted, they should get through. In a way, I wouldn't want too see too many changes, it may disturb momentum slightly. Wouldn't mind the likes of Merts and Walcott playing seeing they didn't feature on Saturday anyway. Rosicky, Chambers, AOC, Flamini, Gibbs, Campbell and DeBuchy are all good options and we should have enough quality to beat Wednesday (on a Tuesday). |

Agree that Sanchez, Cazorla, and Ozil should definitely be rested, but Kos and Koq too imo. Don't want to see Ospina and don't see the need to rotate goalies anyway.
