Got out of jail there. Liverpool lost at home as well.

Oh well, better than losing I suppose.

Well we didn't lose it so am reasonably happy, taking everything into account. Off the back of a shocking midweek performance and all the injuries. I hate international breaks but on this occasion I think we need a breather and then there's a nice run of games where we can put some points on the board going into the Christmas fixtures.

Kieren Gibbs, our new emergency striker Threadbare squad (as usual).
We never seem to take a chance to top the league, but they way we played, a point is just fine.

Think we dodged a bullet there
In the 1st half especially we were so bad, but Tottenham didnt help by being as physical as they could and the ref was useless.

Agreed. All things considered it's a good point.

Wenger says Cazorla was ill before the game and was dizzy at half time.

Hopefully we'll get some players back after the international break.

This is one of the main reasons why I don't want us to be in the Europa League. We are stretched enough as it is without the extra travelling into far flung European destinations then playing catch up on a Sunday.

Did AW really bring Arteta on?

Had a better weekend than city anyway - villa picking up only their 5th point of the season.

I was at the match with my son on Sunday.

Feeling a bit frustrated, I said to him as Gibbs was coming on, "Bloody hell, we need a goal and we bring on a left back."

After we finished celebrating the goal and sat back down, my son gave it about ten seconds, then leaned toward me and said, "That left back did OK then."

Unfortunately, we didn't have any attacking options on the bench with our depleted squad. January reinforcements are a must, but with us out of the CL, I don't see this happen.

I read somewhere thatwe're after Jese, who's looking at more games than he's getting at Real. Seems to be a good prospect and we've been doing ok with spanish players. Higuain would be ideal though.

A proper DM would be good too alongside Coq.

We need additions and Jan may not be traditionally a good time to buy but with Arteta and Flam probably leaving next summer, it may be good to get replacements in now and get them used to our system (and the treatment room).

That game was crying out for Walcott or Bellerin.

The way they had the cheek to push their three defenders right up to the halfway line, knowing full well that whomever may get onto a through ball or one over the top, could be easily caught up with.

They wouldn't have dared do that if we had pace in the team. It would have been a different game.

What a finish from Santi for Spain against England

So, must win game tomorrow, City's got a tricky home game so we need to keep the pressure on. Still gutted that we lost points against the Spuds, a cushion would have been nice and we need to capitalise on surprise results. City will have Aguero back soon and that will boost them.

Lots of links with players, the Nolito rumours are gathering pace, but he's not a typical Wenger signing, nor is he prolific. Perhaps a bit like a spanish Vardy, a bit older and going through a scoring phase? Not the answer, I feel.

Bellerin may be back, and Ox probably the week after. Walcott needs a few more weeks, apparently. That worries me... Hopefully, Kos and Giroud aren't too adversely affected by the terrible tragedy in paris, but it's only football and insignificant in the big scheme of things. Still, it would be nice to get a win and at least be top of the league for a few hours at least.

If it's the knee ligament, possibly. But hey, this is Arsenal after all...

And West Brom scores. 1-1!
