Your Favourite EastEnders Character - 10th Anniversary Edition - The Final
At last we arrive at our finale. After three months of intense competition, you've whittled 220 characters from the last decade down to just two. But who I hear you ask....
Well, let's get down to the results of the semi-final - as I told you, while you ranked the final six I also took down singular votes for your top two, in an attempt to use both of the most common methods of voting we've used to get here. I then combined the totals for each, finding the average score and compiling the results from there. So, in SIXTH PLACE.......with a combined average score of 36%, it's the ice queen herself and 2009 victor RONNIE MITCHELL. Ronnie has a lot of die-hard supporters, as evident in round five when she actually ended up in second in the voting, but those fans while passionate just didn't have the numbers needed to win her the title this year. Though I love that after a mega dip post-baby swap her popularity couldn't be soaring higher these days, well it could possibly be higher if she hadn't been out of action since the epic New Year's episode. On a personal note 2009 was probably my favourite YFEEC tournament, she aced it every round and it created a real buzz. In FIFTH PLACE.....with a combined average score of 37.5%, from ice queen to ice skater, it's STACEY SLATER (Branning). Winner in 2006, finalist in 2007 and 2015, Stacey is a true all-star in this competition. From her early beginnings involved in the Den plot, to the whole Branning saga, to her bi-polar battle and her return, Stacey has rightfully earned her icon-status within EastEnders and her popularity has never diminished. Next up in FOURTH PLACE, with a combined average score of 37.9% (yes, really, it was that close), our highest ranked current character, this year's champion, the legend, the ultimate EastEnders heroine, SHARON MITCHELL. While she stormed round five, her legions of fans rushing to take her to pole position - I hope you can take comfort in that - Sharon attracts her fair share of negative criticism, and it was this that was her undoing at the final hurdle. Sharon has had to claw her way back into the hearts of fans, who she lost upon her 2012 return, but it's glorious to see her back to her best. It's fitting also that the 2015 final two are the top two current characters here as well. And with that, we're left with three former stars making up the top three, and all connected to each other as well, but there are only two spots available going forward, so the last character to leave the competition and claiming THIRD PLACE, it's your highest-ranked male character and 2014 finalist, DAVID WICKS. After a lengthy absence, David endeared himself to a whole new generation upon his returns in 2012 and 2013, bringing us a perfect mix of classic EastEnders bad boy and strong family patriarch. It was what returns should be. So you know what that means...meet your finalists! JANINE BUTCHER and PAT EVANS Now all you need to do is vote for your WINNER. What I think could be fun as well is if you've got a favourite Pat or Janine video, post it with your vote! Help us relive some fantastic memories of two sensational characters ![]() Who's your champion? Janine or Pat? Voting closes next Sunday 10th May. |

WELL... I'm not overly happy about Stacey's placing, but the final two are a wonderful final two. It seems that Pat and Janine are always up there in the top 2 in most of these competitions and I think it's the relationship between the two of them that makes them both so strong.
Janine saying goodbye to Pat has to be one of my most favourite moments in the show's history. But for me, the ultimate winner between the two, HAS to be Pat. |

I'm chuffed with Sharon's placing as it shows despite the flak she gets, she still has the potential for greatness.
![]() Has to be Pat for me and this video is brilliant for both Pat and Janine. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nhFqUf_MuCU |

![]() A great final two but I have to choose...... JANINE A lot of her greatness is down to Pat and she'll carry on her legacy when Charlie returns in years to come. |

I love Janine. Can't wait for her to return (which she eventually will), she always brings great storylines!!!
But my first place must go to a true Walford legend! A matriarch of the Square! And for her earrings alone I must vote......... Pat Evans!!!!! |

Thrilled with the top 2, heck even top 3 didn't think David would end up so high. |
