Characters you'd like to see return in Series 9
Which previous characters (if any) would you like to see make a return in Series 9?
No already confirmed characters like Missy or Kate Stewart please. |

Oh, I would bloody love that. Can you imagine the sorts of comments the 12th Doctor would be making to wind him up?

Nah. Missy/The Master and the Daleks will make a appearance. It would just be nice if the other characters I mentioned did also.

The Doctor being the Doctor and not as the plucky sidekick to Clara.
I do like characters being played so maybe the Celestial Toymaker? I'd also like to see other Timelords. Maybe The Rani or find out the identity of The Valeyard or maybe a character that can help alight something about the early years such as Omega. Vislor Turlough returning as a Pinhead alike

I still like the idea of an epic "time travellers assemble" concept for Moffat's eventual send-off, though I'm becoming very confident now that that won't be in 2015. Hypthetically speaking, I now imagine the Series 10 finale to be his goodbye. As such I'd personally like to have River Song and Jack Harkness return in the same story, maybe bring back Clara as well (or a splinter of her would probably be more interesting) given she will probably and rightly be gone at the end of Series 9, the Paternoster's and maybe even daughter Jenny all in the same story - an epic two-part affront to the Weeping Angels set across multiple time zones and concerning an infamous moment in universal history.
For Series 9 though I'm happy leaving it at just Missy and Kate Stewart. In terms of threats I suspect the Daleks will be back on board, though perhaps only in a very small role if the Davros stories are true. I'd prefer new aliens beyond that, though wouldn't object to seeing the Sea Devils realised in NuWho for an episode. |

Just lower your expectations, especially regarding 10, 11, K9 and Jack. (K9's a very odd choice. I know some folk love him, but K9 just wouldn't fit in the show these days, I don't think.)

I think K9 would be hilarious alongside the 12th Doctor, purely because he represents the exact opposite of 12's approach.

...which might sound good in your head but what do you mean?!
12 is serious, sarcastic and rude. K9, on the other hand, has a cheery high-pitched voice, shoots lasers (surely against 12's anti-soldier agenda?) and is...well...a tin dog. They'd clash almost immediately. |

i think we can all agree it is still quite early considering both have returned in some degree. DT in the 50th and MS with his small cameo appearance in Deep Breath when he rang Clara to reassure her over the Twelfth Doctor.

Very doubtful this will happen but I would like
Ice warriors and this time an army not just 1 Davros (with no daleks would be a nice change and different sort of story) Axons Mara (it would be the type of story that would fit Steven's style) What I don't want Dalek Cybermen Weeping angels I kind of think they have been used far too often since 2005 especially daleks and cybermen and a year without would be a nice change. Not really fussed about returning doctors as it ain't a major anniversary year.I don't count the 10th anniversary of new who as it really ain't an anniversary year. It's all 1 show and its the 52nd anniversary. |

It wouldn't fit tone wise. It's too dark for the show to have a comedic dog imop
The period of which Mary Whitehouse constantly complained it was too scary for children? |
