Who does Emma Willis want back in the house?

06-05-2015
Here’s who host Emma Willis wants to see back in the Big Brother house this summer.

It’s been revealed that the Big Brother 2015 Timebomb theme could mean for the return of some ex housemates as the clock jumps back and forth.

According to Bit On The Side host Rylan, Big Brother will have complete control of time which will turn everything on its head.

He said: “As an ex-housemate, I know that in the House, time is the only structure that you have to your day. It’s the only thing that keeps you sane in that House. With this series, time doesn’t mean anything.

“We could also revisit any Big Brother series if we wanted to which means we could even see some familiar faces…”

And on that topic, Emma has said who just she would want to see back in the house if some former contestants do make a comeback.

“I loved Gina and Dexter from a couple of years ago,” she spills. “I really liked Chris and Ashleigh from last year.

“Someone I would have liked to see more of – and I don’t know whether it would be a good or bad thing – was Sally Axl. She was so hardcore. We may have missed out on a great housemate by her leaving after a week. I wonder what she might have given us!”

Big Brother: Timebomb will kick explode onto our screens from May 12 on Channel 5.

So only C5 ex housemates will return.

None from the C4 golden boom period of reality TV.

This sounds dreadful. It will never work. Noticeable that newly weds Steven and Kim are mouthing off about coming on again. Vomit inducing the very thought.

Gina Dexter and Ashleigh.

They are the reasons I stopped watching over the past 2 years.

Most people here seemed to want them to renew the Big Brother contract (hence the big discussions), now the series is finally here most couldn't give a damn about it.. maybe next time tell them to end it.

I'm glad Emma isn't a producer of the show. Hopefully the actual producers are in complete disagreement with her.

Whenever Emma offers an opinion like this, I remember that she wanted Luke Marsden to win bb9.

Interesting, though, that she admits she “loved Gina and Dexter". Perhaps she remembers denying accusations of bias back then.

If the producers had a problem with the presenter having a view, whether they agreed with it or not, I am sure we would know.

The producers clearly do not want presenters to (pretend to) be unbiased.

Why would we know? Or perhaps we do know ...

... because Emma and Rylan have said they're supposed to be unbiased, and at least Emma has claimed that she actually is (presumably she meant so far as she shows when presenting). It was pretty clear at the time that there had been criticism of them for being biased, and the producers may well have made it clear to them that they should respond.

It seems to me that if they wanted them to appear unbiased going forward, they would have been either replaced or muzzled.

Perhaps though it's that they don't as a rule have a problem with them expressing opinions on past HMs, though of course now with the speculation about returnees, it's maybe backfired?

Do you think the only possibilities are that the producers don't mind if the presenters are biased, or else that it's a sacking offence?

If we go back a few years, my view was that BOTS, Big Mouth, etc were shows where the presenters weren't meant to be unbiased; and it even seemed that the main show's presenter could be biased when they weren't presenting the main show. But more recently, Emma, Rylan, and even Louisa have said they're supposed to be unbiased, and Emma (at least) has responded to accusations of bias by claiming she had not been. So it looks like my old view was wrong, and that the presenters are supposed to be unbiased after all.

And since Emma has at least pretended to be unbiased, I don't think your view that "the producers clearly do not want presenters to (pretend to) be unbiased" can be right.

One complication is that it's not always clear when a presenter is presenting their own view and when it's something from the producers. And the producers have certainly seemed biased at times. So the idea that the presenters are supposed to be unbiased may be a front. But if so, it's a front that they seem to be trying to maintain.

Apart from saying this Emma has been very quiet, Rylan seems to have been doing all the promo I,m quite happy with that I like him and I,m glad he's got a bigger role in the series now.
