I loved it when one of the villains said to her something like you didn't recognise Clark was Superman: how dumb are you! Of course all they do is wear glasses and tie the hair back, but it was good to actually have a character say what the audience is thinking. The name Tempus comes to mind

Still love it.
Only slight problem I have is by the end 80% of the cast seem to find out who she is |

Thought it was ok, not as good as the flash. So I'm guessing they won't say superman for the foreseeable future it would be him/cousin/man of steel.
Dunno how this will fit in with flash and arrow, she mentions there are now 2 heroes...are flash and arrow not heroes? By the way she looked fit in the first costume

Is this story true to the comic books, being sent to protect Kal El, her mother and her mothers evil twin sister who wants to kill her?

Supergirl could be Earth 4 (If it's like the comics Earth 3 is set for something else) The makers have said they have no plans for a crossover however that may change in a future series. |

And that charged her up so at first she was even more powerfull than him. Her Aunt was not in the comics as far as I know but I haven't read everyone just a lot of them. |

I really don't want this to sound racist, and I suppose there's no reason he shouldn't be, but why did they feel it necessary to change the ethnicity of Jimmy Oleson? Couldn't the other friend have been the black guy? I put that BIB to emphasise the point that I am, in no way, racist. I just wanted to ask the question. Although I guess the "alternate earth" explanation would do

Thanks for clearing that up. Made zero sense for it to be her Mother.

I was quite enjoying it until the baddie superheros turned up
Not sure I'd be interested in one lot of superheros chucking another lot of superheros around.........they then become equal and not super ! The interest surely is in a girl with superpowers amongst a population that doesn't have superpowers....... Bit of a blast from the past with Ally McBeal......

Finally got round to watching episode one. Loved it. Another bright addition to the superhero tv verse (more like The Flash than Arrow). I'm delighted and amused by how unabashedly female it was. They didn't really care for the snotty 'omg does it have to be all about women/women saying women are awesome?' comments they knew they were going to get - I respect that
![]() Imo it's great that it's VERY female led as that makes it stand out from the other two DC shows. And it managed this without making the men look stupid - Jimmy is particularly great. I loved how they've made an older, wiser version of the character. |
