I probably will

Maybe I meant one of the others but I don't think so. I'll give it another try when it comes on telly next.

Same as Flash 52 wormholes.

They are using 52 quite a lot this year

I dare say the number will get a mention in Legends Of Tomorrow as well

You could almost see the wires in that fight scene with her aunt. It looked almost balletic. The evil aunt is a good character.

Another good episode.

I like the sister bond between Kara and Alex.

I'm also starting to like Cat Grant as well.

SO Kara could only open the door to the secret area with her Mum's hologram,so how did they a) get her hand print and B) Design the room?

Maybe all staff needs their hand scanned to be able to open other doors in the facility? Designed the room before locking it to only Kara hand print.

And only locked it down to her hand-print when they'd finished it.

I'm really liking this series. Showing SuperGirl not "fully formed" as it were and still getting used to her powers was a good way to go.

Totally different to Smallville. In a good way

The red eyes thing at the end made it a bit obvious that Henshaw will turn out to be a bit dodgy

Not necessarily, there's various routes they can go with a red eyed character in the DC Superman/Supergirl universe

I like how Supergirl decided to terrify the living shit out of Calista Flockhart at the end. She may as well have said "if you don't print nice things about me, I may just throw your car into the Sun with you inside it......oh and BTW, treat your assistant better, bitch!"

He is in the comics.

Spoiler
He's Cyborg Superman a villian with pretty much all Supermans powers as after accident he got turned into half Cyborg and blames Superman (His wife also died in the same accident

I am just not feeling this show

Jimmy as a hot sexy guy is just wrong.

Calista they are using special lighting for her, so easy to spot its suddenly soft light to make her look younger. yes I am sure the actress has had work done, but the soft blurred glow when they switch to her a blind man on a galloping horse could spot.

Still needs to be fleshed out more for me. I don't know much about the Superman mythos, so I don't really understand the argument she was having with SG's mother. If the aunt wanted to save their planet, that sounds like she might have a point. Maybe SG is being a traitor to her species by going against her. If a human got marooned on a desert island, we'd do what we needed to survive, including exploiting the local fauna.

Shouldn't Superman and Supergirl be having sex so they can repopulate their species?

The story is set too far up north for that...however if it was set in Alabama then it would of been expected

The Aunt is not in the comics so it as no real mythos.

I think her idea of saving the planet was ruling it think of her as a Alien Hitler maybe in their own twisted mind they were doing good but was in reality evil.

That's kind of General Zods story too.

The council on Kryton wouldn't do anything to stop the impending doom of their planet so some people did all they could to try and save their planet, even if it meant doing nasty stuff to do it. The council found out and banished them to the Phantom Zone.

We haven't seen much of Astra's story yet but it sounds a bit similar.

That's only if they choose to use the same origin story for him. As we've seen on their other superhero shows, they don't always do that and there are other candidates they could choose from.

Spoiler
Him having the same name as an existing villain doesn't necessarily mean he's going to be one

Agreed, it does sound like they're taking from General Zod's story narrative but using it as the Aunt instead to give Kara a "personal" reason for the big bad.

Enjoyable enough so far. I hope we see lots more of Supergirl doing stuff other than worrying about the prisoners.

And Melissa Benoist is cute. Obviously.

Another thing I have spotted.

Kara has earrings but as a young girl did not have pierced ears. So how did she get her ears pierced on earth?

Solid second episode - with Kara learning her Powers and not always getting it right.
Plus the crazy Aunt.

And the red eyes at the end - are they for good or evil.

I'm sure Kryptonite played a part. Leave it nearby to sufficiently weaken her and pierce her ears. Job done

Erm... laser vision plus a set of mirrors?

I thought that that was a solid second episode. It was good to see the SG still needs to learn and not just 'try harder' to win like in the pilot. Having other Kryptonian's around beyond her aunt ups the ante too. I don't think the show's going to have a problem with SG being overpowered compared to her enemies.

She only found out about kryptonite last episode the best vision might be the way, just as her cousin uses it to shave.

I don't think Henshaw will be a bad, certainly not linked to Astra otherwise the kryptonite would be more of a known quantity.
