Its possible. I've always said that DC missed a trick in not incorporating Arrow/Flash into the DCCU. It has a lot of potential in universe building, and not getting bogged down too much building the universe in the movies.
Agreed. Never watched either but I think it's stupid that there's going to be a movie Green Arrow and a movie Flash as well as their TV show counterparts.
When you have Arrow/Flash, Gothom, Constantine, and the upcoming Lucifer show, all separate, yet all part of DC. What makes you think Supergirl will be any different?
Because Supergirl is a direct spinoff of a superhero who's already a part of the DCCU.

Also Suicide Squad have already appeared in Arrow as well but they are still doing a film version of that!

Dalekbuster523 as far as I know DC have not announced a film version of Green Arrow but they have announced one of the Flash!

That makes me think that they might use the Flash to link up the TV and film universes by having them as separate worlds!

Very good point, I think another point could go into your favour is that Supergirl is on a different network too, aswell as the open casket in Man of Steel. However I'm gonna stand by my opinion and I don't think its gonna exists in the same universe of the movies. I would LOVE to be proven wrong though.

Supergirl will be in the same universe as Flash and Arrow I'm sure the makers have already said this and said crossovers will likely happen

I'm pretty sure the creators have not said there will be crossovers. It's only been rumoured as a possibility from the articles I've read mentioning it.

Seems the president of CBS was leaning away from crossovers in Jan
http://m.uk.ign.com/articles/2015/01/12/cbs-president-nina-tassler-doubtful-about-a-supergirlflasharrow-crossover

Superman's appearance is based on a casting call that several sites reported on iirc.

Supergirl will apparently start airing in November, and will be on Monday nights from 8-9 (in the U.S.)

I think keeping the DC TV series seperate from the DC Films make sense because as we've seen with Agents of SHIELD, they've on the whim of what goes on in the films and also the DC Films aren't yet established yet so it doesn't make sense to link the two mediums.

Well Man of Steel came out in 2013 and Arrow started in 2012 so if they were going to link the universes I would liked them to have done it from the start, as both universes started about the same time.

But as for where we are now I would like them to stay seperate. I'm really enjoying the TV universe and while I did enjoy MoS, who knows where that universe is going. It could be amazing, could be tripe. I think we need to see another film or two to get a grasp on the overall quality of the universe.

But Grant Gustin has left some massive shoes for Ezra Miller to fill.

Trailer- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lm46-envrHo

I'm glad there's more humour than the standard grim Zack Snyder type DC property, but I guess only time will tell if it works.

The Trailer doesn't look half bad, though it's got a very weird vibe about it - I can't quite put my finger on what that is though. I would still be surprised to see this show merge with Flash & Arrow, though depending on how they go, I wouldn't be surprised if Superman (under a different actor) turns up for the odd episode every now and again.

That's all right. I'm in. Definitely worth giving it a go.

I feel like I've seen the whole first episode tho.

Before seeing his face and just hearing his voice I initially thought David Harewood was the actor who plays Diggle in Arrow and thought they kept that Crossover quiet

I'm getting Ugly Betty/Gilmore Girls vibes from that trailer, having said that, it still looks good! I'll definitely watch the first few episodes at least.

I was going to give Supergirl a chance but after watching that preview trailer I'm not going to bother as that looks terrible and nothing like a superhero TV show

I'm surprised that previous posters are being positive about it after watching that

Well none of the cheesy chick flick songs will be playing throughout the episode (I hope) so that won't be so bad.

I think it's at least worth watching a few episodes.

Maybe not the "dark gritty" Superhero shows we have now but it did remind me of Lois and Clark and the Christopher Reeve Superman films.

She doesn't seem to really grasp the secret identity thing though, going by the trailer half the cast seem to know she's Supergirl by the end of the Pilot.

To be honest I'm not sure I'll end up watching it but I will give it a couple of episodes before I decide.

Someone once told me you can judge a movie based on the trailer because if they show you lots of content it will be bad. A good movie doesn't need to show you lots of trailer content to get you interested. Like a joke that needs explaining.

That was a long a$$ trailer and I can't believe they showed the coming out scene, big rescue scene outfit scene and the final outfit scene all in one trailer. OMG do they want people to watch? Obviously they do but are worried they won't hense the over exposed trailer with LOTS of detail

Corwin I wasn't expecting dark and gritty as I was hoping it would be more like the Flash which you can't really call that dark and gritty!

The trailer had its moments. Enough to make me do a semi-reversal and give it a chance.

But, as for DC's - Everyone is in on the secret - approach, I hate it. It makes the supporting cast too sympathetic and takes away suspense.

I liked the trailer, looked like it was following the same humour and emotional feelings as the 1980s Wonder Woman with Linda Carter did. I like Melissa Benoist, she's an underrated actress so I'm going to be happily giving this one a go.

I thought the trailer was pretty good, I doubt i will watch it but it looked as good as Flash and Arrow so should appeal to that audience. I think it is on the wrong network though because a 1.0 isn't going to cut it on CBS.....

The blurry Superman in the trailer was not Cavill; it looked like someone younger...

Might be nothing, though.
