watched the first even episodes today and really enjoyed it! I may have to try Arrow and The Flash. Is there an order to watch their seasons in?

Arrow is darker than The Flash & Supergirl, but imo is the better show for it.

Didn't Red Tornado get destroyed by Supergirl? Unless it managed to upload to the internet first, to come back another day. Though it was portrayed as a baddie in the episode despite only being self aware and therefore in self control for a few seconds before biting the dust. So maybe chance for a return as a redeemed goodie.

Was wondering what place Martian Manhunter will have on the show from now. Either he continues as Hank with only Alex knowing the truth or they sideline him somehow. Though if he continues as Hank then everytime Supergirl needs some proper superhero backup Alex will be wanting MM to come to the rescue, so Supergirl will be no better off than when she was complaining about Superman helping her.

I'm hoping that MM does become the ace up Supergirl's sleeve. Would be good to see him help sort out her aunt now she's back on the scene. Surely if her aunt's heavies are also super powered then Supergirl is way outnumbered to handle them all on her own.

So could easily become a mini justice league team of 2, until they do cross overs with the other shows or sort out being able to include Superman properly for the occasional special episode.

Well thank God for a show that embraces comic book goofiness.

It's not the best dialogue in the world but Melissa is more super than any of her cousins recent big and small screen outings.

I like Jimmy, not so much Winn and it's not so much a triangle as there's 4 involved and it's probably my least favourite thing about the show but not bad enough to hate it.

She's quick....but not quick enough for the Aunt, at the end.

I was wondering how Kara was going to handle all those criminals and her aunt so having MM around makes sense; she won't then need to rely on her cousin.


I find Arrow to be over the top with its melodrama; it's why it took me 2 attempts to get into it: I gave up after 2 episodes the first time. It has some excellent moments but I think I watch it more out of obligation now and crossovers.

Only thing I don't like about Arrow is the flashbacks, but other than that I really like it. I find all 3 shows enjoyable in in their own way.

Season Four has been much better and some of the episodes have been the best yet imho.

Last Arrow comment from me since it's OT. I actually enjoy the flashbacks but season 3 in Hong Kong wasn't great especially since I know the place too.

I think I enjoyed season 2 the most so far with the balance of 'gritty realism' from season 1 with more superhero stuff. Season 3 and 4 are fun but I don't think the balance is right: swinging between superhero team, making it feel cluttered, and then attempting the character/realism stuff but overly melodramatic.

Nope, he's an out and out good guy...your feeling is probably down to the fact that , before the reveal, the show has been a bit ambiguous in order to tease us about who or what Hank is.

Now it's out there that will probably disappear.

The Martian Manhunter is a good guy but they may well play with that a bit.

Hope they don't kill off MM just to solve the awkward issue of having another superhero in each episode, as part of the DEO team, that can't be used all the time if the show is to stay focused on Supergirl rather than becoming a mini justice league.

Doesn't make sense for MM to continue to hide his identity as Hank now he's in charge of the organisation that was previously a threat! So not sure why he wants it to stay a secret with Alex, unless someone could remove him from the DEO if they found out he wasn't Hank?

Of course the DEO top brass would remove Hank immediately if they knew. He's definitely going to need to continue to keep it a secret but I expect Team Supergirl will find out.
