I don't believe so, I think Whedon has posted in the wrong thread.
Might as well be posting against the wrong show, I really don't see that description applying to Supergirl!

I've been pleasantly surprised by the the meaningful character interactions in this, over and above the pure action stuff. I don't find the characters bland, I think there are some intriguing things going on and don't find it unimaginative at all.

I'm thorougly engaged with and enjoying this show and rather missing it at the moment

I agree, I've been pleasantly surprised. I'm watching at US pace though so I won't say any more

Given up waiting for the official UK return and have caught up with the US via alternative methods.

So long Sky, snooze you lose.

The last episode at UK pace was about six weeks ago, hence the confusion!

Also, the fact that the cliff-hanger was a kick ass battle with a whole host of Supers vs a high tech army and Martian Manhunter which would, IMO, require a huge stretch of the imagination to call boring!

Still, everybody's entitled to their opinion

I think the last couple of posts have moved into spoiler territory for a UK pace thread. Unless I've missed an episode to two on Sky, that is

i delayed watching it as i hate breaks. seems there is one anyway!

manhunter stuff is good. the kryptonians are boring so far. its defintley aimed at women maybe thats why i dont think its as good as flash or arrow.

but come on, her love isnterest is boring, lucy lane is boring, her best friend is sterotypical. ally mcbeal and her sister are only good characters so far

Nothing I've said was outside UK Pace. I haven't watched anything outside UK Pace!

I was referring to the fight at the end of episode 8 (Broadcast Dec 17th and currently available from Sky On Demand).

I will grant you that some of the supporting characters don't have the most scintillating personalities or sub-plots. But I don't find any of them that irritating and there are enough good characters and ideas to make up for it.

I wouldn't say the Kryptonians are boring. Aside from the level of power and threat they represent I find that whole area of Kara's past on Krypton and what the Kryptonians are planning pretty intriguing. Her Aunt even seemed somewhat sympathetic until the last twist (although I'm still not convinced she's 100% evil).

I really like the way Calista's character has developed from the stereotypical overbearing boss to someone with many more sides to her.

I like how some of the character building stuff has been handled. It's not just a show about super powered people battling it out (although I love that too!) it has heart.

If I had to choose, I think I'd pick it over both Flash and Arrow at the moment, although I like those shows too.

I must admit I dislike the love triangle and hope it's sorted sooner than later, but I do find this good fun to watch. If you're looking for a serious show than obviously this isn't for you, it is silly but entertaining imo.

well even flash and arrow cant be considered on same level as buffy or BSG etc so its not saying much

it seems days of well written shows on network telly are nearly over, its all about cable or online video on demand services now

least supernatural is still great though.

If not being as good as Buffy or BSG is not saying much then you are seriously underestimating how good Buffy or BSG were!

If something has to be as good as the very best in the genre to be worth watching then you'd never watch anything at all!

Of the comic book/superhero ones I watch my current order would be:
1. AoS;
2. The Flash;
3. Agent Carter;
4. Supergirl;
5= Arrow/Gotham.

Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead would be cult shows too and probably tie #1.

Have you checked out Lucifer?

Yes.

Enough time to get to the cinema for Dawn of Justice.

Yep, but the Legends of Tomorrow took that slot, nothing else is on at the time for me so it's not so bad.
