After checking online, turned out she had seen him in Twilight!

He is wearing some tech that blocks the effects he made and he gave her some ear-rings made from the same stuff.

Honestly, I'd rather- in bringing Supergirl into the CW universe- that Superman somehow gets left behind. There are only so many 'oh, he's off world feeding the cat' moments I can take.
