Hopefully so, but they started showing it 3 days after the US for the first half of the season last year, but delayed it on its return - suggests they weren't happy with the ratings.

But they'd be mad not to air them all in the same week, even if they delay all of them!

What would be interesting to know would be how much the Supergirl ratings dropped for that second half - that could sway their decision.

Thanks Jedi_Knight but I already know that website and that's just a guess on the first season showing of Supergirl! So it could it change in the future as I was asking for an more exact date like America networks have confirmed and also time periods tend to change on that website!

DanielF the delay of the second half of the first season of Supergirl was not just due to ratings but also the fact that Sky 1 had gained the rights to Legends Of Tomorrow which Sky wanted in Supergirl usual Thursday night time slot

For some strange reason Sky 1 didn't like showing comic book shows on four days of the week despite the viewers wanting it as I don't understand why Sky 1 don't follow America and show it on Monday!

So according to Geektown website Supergirl season 2 will start on Sky 1 on the 24th October which I guess is to avoid the breaks that America tends to have on its shows!

That was a good start to the season.

Nice to see Katie McGrath on TV again; and I hope she's a "good" Luthor for a change. But I'm not holding my breath. But, too much make-up, I think.

Was hoping for an improvement with it moving to the CW so gave it another try, but as lame, poor script and as badly acted as ever.

Harsh! Not perfect but I think adding Clark with his distrust of nearly everyone, and a power dressing Luthor adds a bit more depth.

Just still very much feels villain of the week, with no or little underlying story...seems rushed as always and the actors really look as if they are just reading from script, rather than natural....it wouldn't feel out of place on Nickelodeon.

I disagree with acting, it's not Oscar worthy but it's not bad either.

But I like this show, it's just fun entertainment and after watching The Walking Dead, I need that lol.

I like the nod to Gene Hackman "MS TESSMACHER!!!!" Is the character supposed to be related to her?

What do you mean, no underlying story? That episode was a defining moment in her career and her lovelife. She finally stopped vacillating, took the bull by the horns and discovered her purpose and ambition.

Superman was a great addition, I like their dynamic. I like that he has no real memories of Krypton and she can fulfill that role for him.

The Kryptonite issue was an interesting moral dilemma as to who has the right of it between Superman and the Manhunter. Personally, I think it was Manhunter.

The acting wasn't remotely bad.

I thought it was a great start to the season

Perhaps you should be the script writer as you make it sound so dramatic, shame it didn't turn out that way on screen.

Superman offered nothing, he came across more as Supergirl's assistant....he wouldn't have been out of place fetching her a coffee, while she did the hero stuff.

Obviously watching and seeing two different shows.....I was hoping with it been on the CW it would have improved, especially as Arrow and The Flash did with S2, for me a very disappointing start to the season.

She seems destined to end up working for Ms Luthor, as she's too incompetent for Cat.

I suppose the writers have a dilemma here. If they build his character up too much this series it would look more like a superhero team show, which is what they definitely don't want. So they've got to play him down and yes may be make him look like an assistant. Still it was good to see him!

Oh come on! This is episode 1. There's time yet. We got an arc last season so no reason to think we won't be getting one this season.

I like the way they introduced the new HQ; like it had always been there

Obviously watching and seeing two different shows.....
Indeed. Not sure which one you're watching but I like the one the rest of us are watching

Exactly what I meant by little underlying story...even though there was an arc it was very underwhelming to point they may as well not have bothered.

I suppose some people are easily satisfied though.

I agree - I wonder how long he's actually going to be around? (I've liked Supergirl because it was a fresh look at her & her family - but the addition of Superman feels like a bit like a return to the films, which I never really loved that much? This 'team effort' rather detracts from Supergirl herself, I feel...) If he is going to stick around, he needs to 'grow' a bit & stop looking like a guy off to a fancy-dress party...

He is only going to be around for one more episode. The producers are clear about the show being for Supergirl with Superman being a supporting character.

That said, Superman was very well received so I wouldn't be surprised if he drops by again in some context.

Aha - OK? (And I've no problem with him popping round for a cuppa now & then - I mean he is family...)

He turned out better than I expected. Although I was a little underwhelmed by the episode.

And as I also said, it's only Episode 1 of 22. Give them a chance

I suppose some people are easily satisfied though.
And some people expect too much and ONE episode of 22.

I've actually liked Supergirl and Superman teaming up, we don't see it enough on TV or in films and I don't think he overshadowed or took anything away from Supergirl at all. Hope to see more of them together.

Bit sad Cat is leaving and won't be in this show as much as last season, but I know the reason why.
