A very interesting point - I'd like to be a fly on the wall in some of those production meetings.
I also think of all the thousands of hard-right Christians in the US when I watch these shows - are those buttoned-up parents all OK with their kids watching such 'out there' material?
(Or do they all have parental blocking on their TVs?!) When there's a lesbian kiss or suchlike, my OH & I often look at each other and say, "What would Ned Flanders say?"
