Honor 4X - decent low priced 5.5" phone/phablet (for under £150)?

Hi there,

My wife has been looking at the Samsung Notes because she wants a bigger screen than her Moto G (1st Gen 4G), but even the older models are out of her price range and was wondering if the Honor 4X is any good (reviews on Amazon look good):

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Honor-5-5-In...words=honor+4x

Or would it be better to loose the extra .5" and go for the 2nd gen 4G Moto G (or even something else)?

It also comes with a 2 year warranty and they recon it's going to get the Lollypop update (although she will not be too bothered if it stays on 4.4).

Cheers, Mark.

Also was wondering if there are any shops that you can physically hold the phone as well (Car Phone Warehouse etc)?

Cheers Mark.

No idea on that. If she don't mind Vodafone try their 4G Smart Prime 6.

720p screen like the Moto G. The 8mp camera wont be worse.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm afraid she gets too good a deal with her Tesco Mobile SIM only deal at the moment and I have given up with Vodafone with their bad data speeds (especially when we go to rural locations).

Just an update to say that we ordered and received the Honor 4X off Amazon and all I can say is WOW for the price.

The screen looks great and the phone is very snappy.

Also I was worried that it might not support O2's 4G on 800mhz (band 20) but when I put my wife's Tescos SIM in it came up 4G straight away.

Might bung my EE SIM that I did not use at Glastonbury with the 100gb of DATA on it as the 2nd SIM until it runs out in 6/7 weeks as should get some use out of it.

My only worry was the non Gorilla glass screen, but have ordered a glass screen protector which is coming from Germany, so hopefully she does not drop it before that and the case arrive or we have had a chance to update the Barclays phone insurance.
