I find it strange why they keep taking breaks all the time on this show, is it lazy actors or writers who get bored, no other soap takes weeks off like home and away. I wouldn't mind so much but it the best soap on at the moment, I've given up on Neighbours.

Yay! I like Kyle though - he's not really like a proper Braxton if that makes sense!

Me too. Can you imagine if it was EastEnders - a lot of their fans moan at great length if an episode is moved; if it was off air for a month this forum would go into meltdown!

This is true Eastenders does seem to be the one most people go on about all the time, I watch Eastenders now and again but to be honest its a little too depressing I find, they need to lighten it up a little. Home and Away is a much more relaxing chilled out drama fest and its nice to see some sun when we have the grey clouds most of the year.

To be fair, the same could be said about Coronation Street, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks fans, not just the Eastenders fans.

I actually prefer Channel 5 doing a month break like this, so in The Summer they won't take a 6 week break with Home And Away, which is far too long.

There is a page on Digital Spy where you can check for soap updates & spoilers. No baby yet, and Maddy is alive but her chemo didn't work... so I think they are looking at a different treatment plan, or another round of chemo.

Does anybody know what the outcome of her cancer storyline will be?

Did Ricky & Brax find out the sex of their child at the scan? I can't remember.

BIB: That's not true. I've been on this forum for years (4 as a non-member and 7 as a member) and ED and Corrie get moved a lot. But all you see is someone posting a message reminding people of the change in time/day - a few say thank you and that's it. Whereas when EE gets moved there are generally about 5 threads, each about 5 or 6 pages long, with the same people moaning in each thread - it's been like that for years.

It sure would.

I think it went off as they only film for so many days (or something like that), so we'd end up catching up to them, and then probably not be able to have it on every day, as we'd end up having to wait for the episodes to be filmed before we can see them.

They're milking Brax's exit for as long as they possibly can though. I wish they'd just finish his storyline once and for all.

I agree. Because of the time I get home from work I have it set to series record and now ff his scenes.

This was bound to happen. I think Seven see him as the saviour of the show when in my opinion they need to be getting Kate Ritchie back for some kind of familiarity and consistency. Her and Ray Meagher are the heart of the show; and judging by her recent Facebook posts and how proud she is and how much she misses it, she might just come back.

With Brax, Steve has just won a Logie so is officially Australia's Most Popular Actor. I don't rate the character myself but he is obviously very popular and where H&A might not be as popular here as it once was, it's still very successful in Australia (also in Ireland) so they are not going to fix what they don't see as broken.

I would like to carry on with the next episode myself. But I think it's a sign of just how good the older episodes were and how they were so much better than today's.

I understand that Brax is popular, but the thing is - he isn't what Home and Away should be about. It should be about families and friendships, and the community feel that everyone knows each other, not about gang members and guns, (etc). If the producers love Brax and anyone associated with them so much, (which they clearly do, given the amount of airtime and promotion they've had since they've arrived), I don't understand why they didn't just create an entirely new show and have them in that and not Home and Away. That way, everyone would be happy.
