If something went wrong with the ship causing it to return to this place in 5 years time and they bumped into the 3 leftovers, would they then be able to say "hey don't come aboard, we'll zip back those 5 years and take you then, your younger prettier selves" or would some timey-wimey stuff stop them from doing that. I'm defn thinking a time jump will be seen in the next ep, but whether we jump there or get to see how the leftovers deal wth their being left behind (in something akin to the Disney Up intro), well that remains to be seen.
![]() They attempt to kill savage at 16:55, they fail, jump back to 16:50 and try again, fail, jump back to 16:45, etc etc etc, this hasn't happened in the show, and I think for good reason (it would make a crap show). It's more likely that some temporal force simply doesn't allow it. |

This episode was pretty good fun, really, really liked Sarah's story with the nurse, and Jax's plotline this week was very, very strong indeed. Also thought Savage showing up at Kendra and Ray's house was very tense and the house party even moreso, the fella playing Savage is great at being incredibly creepy.
Also have to say, delighted it's been renewed for Season 2 It's genuinely one of my favourite shows now purely because of the character interaction, like Stein and Jax...or Stein and Sarah... or Stein and Snart... Stein's just awesome I know the cast is likely going to get a massive overhaul, so should be interesting to see what the team ends up looking like for Season 2.

Great episode. The explorations into racism (Kendra, Jax), sexism (Kendra, Sara) and sexuality (Sara) were handled pretty well in the episode.
I'm warming to Kendra and Ray and I did like their scenes with Savage even if he's lost momentum as a villain though. Jax had a horrible time throughout this episode but at least Stein and Snart helped him out though. Sara and Lindsay's storyline was nice. I like how the show has handled Sara's bisexuality. Just an excellent job there. Rip and Cold did look great in their 50s detective gear but the bird monsters did look ridiculous. Nice cliffhanger there and I still don't believe that Heatwave is dead, 8/10 It was subtly done and worked really well within the whole over arching story narrative. The episode taken as a whole though was a bit odd although I liked the idea that Savage was trying to create his own mini Hawks without success. What made Prince Khufu and Shay-ara different that it transformed them into actual superhero Hawks, will they tie it into the wider DC Hawkpeople universe
Spoiler
Savage actually worked better here where there was a nod to the mad doctor of 50s mad sci-fi horror stories but he's still, for me, the weakest link in the cast and I do feel for Casper Crump as I'm not sure if it's his accent which makes him seem like a caricature or that he just gets naff lines. No great surprise to find out the episode was directed by Gremlins director Joe Dante as it did have a feel of that old school horror/thriller like it could have been a really old The Twilight Zone episode, Big cliff hanger at the end, another two week wait til March 31 for EP 9 but the promo for that looks good and I like that they're mixing it up yet again by

![]() Ray, Sara and Kendra live through X years before meeting up with the others again. If X is just a couple of years they could well just join the ship there and then but if we are talking longer I can see them aborting the timeline and returning to pick the three up at the point they left them. I'm surprised they seemed to be giving up on 1958 so easily. Savage will of course go into hiding but given the team have no other leads I would have thought they'd be sticking around for a bit. |

From what I have seen they likely spend sometime in 1958.

I'm not sure what it is about Savage, whether it's the character or whether it's the actor himself, but I'm finding he has all the menace of a brussels sprout. Actually, maybe it is the actor when you consider how Neal McDonough is just killing it as Damien Darhk over on Arrow.
Anyway, the episode itself was fine. A nice Back To the Future vibe to it and good team interactions again. Kendra failing to kill Savage... again, although she did look seriously hot in that dress. |

I thought the show really stepped it up this week.
The "Cronos" reveal was very telegraphed, and I remember seeing some who'd predicted it 3 episodes back, but it was still very cool. Also liked how both villains this week were members of the team, made the stakes that much higher and gave the action a bit of an emotional punch to it. Really liked the scenes between Cronos and Snart, brilliantly acted. |

I only wish they hadn't put the clip of Mick being dealt with at the start of the episode - that telegraphed way too heavily that he'd be back this ep and made the reveal too obvious.
Still, it was a great twist and puts into perspective the 'Cronos is such a blank character' view. Obviously that was intentional! Finally we get to see that Talia exists too. I wonder if this is foreshadowing her turning up in Arrow at some point? Or maybe she's too tied to Batman so this was more of a cameo to show she does exist even if they can't use her. |

Really liked that episode. Nice return for the show.
Mick being Chronos I guessed but the show handled it well and it'll be interesting to see if he can be redeemed. Snart loses a hand, then has it regenerated back. Surely that sort of tech would've been handy in earlier episodes, right? I liked Ras more here than I did in Arrow's third season. I can see why Sara returned to the League of Assassins. I'm just glad that Kendra was able to get through to her though. Nice to know that Talia exists in this universe. I wonder if we'll see an older version of the character at some point though. Kendra and Ray had some good moments in this episode. I'm not a shipper but I don't mind them as a couple. Rip, Stein and Jackson were fairly underused though, 8/10 |

seeing the team fight for the first time properly with each other has got me really supporting them now! it's been mix and match before this!
have to say the best thing about this episode was seeing kendra in full hawk gear and seeing her flying around doing her thing!!

Great return episode which stepped up the game and raised the stakes in the run up to the season finale.
The promo for the final few episodes is immense. I'm guessing they're going to end up in 2047 for the last couple
Spoiler
I think Mick being Chronos was fairly obvious from the time they didn't show Snart actually offing him and he's always seemed to be too driven to just be a bog standard bounty hunter but the big reveal was nicely done. Also poor Snart choosing to freeze his own hand off, ouchie! Good thing the Waverider can genetically rebuild people then! Loved Rip's quip about no-one knowing about it because no-one had lost a limb before ![]() As is always the case, great Easter eggs abound - William Gates being a particular gem - and the nod to Talia al Ghul and to Nyssa rescuing Sara from Lien Yu ![]() Fantastic fight sequence starting with Sara and Kendra and then pulling in the rest of the team once Chronos arrived. Loved Jax's comment to Ra's about it being "a long story" when him and Prof Stein turned into Firestorm. Cracking entertainment all ends up. |

Just had a thought here about the timeline and what not, thinking back to something Sara said to Ra just before she left the League (again). I can't remember specifically what she said, but it was along the lines of make sure your daughter (Nyssa) isn't at a certain location in a specific year or something.
Assuming that has something to do with her meeting Sara, and Sara now having changed her own past, what happens? I know in a previous episode Stein nearly lost his marriage because the timeline was altered, but if the timeline is altered, shouldn't the memories of all these people also be altered? I'd get that they'd normally be protected from some temporal shielding (or whatever) with the ship, but what if they're not around the ship such as Ray, Kendra and Sara in this previous episode? Sara seemingly defaulted back to an earlier state in her life, Ray and Kendra continued on with full knowledge of what was going on and who they were. Rip also says that he couldn't have picked them up from where he left them because that had already happened, and yet they met a younger Stein... Maybe I'm thinking about this too much, but sometimes I wish any show/episode/story that involved time travel would stick with some serious rules and consistency when they launch, otherwise we're full of inconsistency and irregularities. |

She was basically setting up her own rescue from the sinking freighter. |

Even though I saw it coming I loved the reveal of Chronos as Mick. Wentworth Miller did a great job with Snart's emotions. I think in all the things I've seen him in over the years, I have never seen him look more shocked than when Mick took off the mask. Their overall dynamic is brilliant.
I also thought it was good that the writers are open to forcing characters through long periods of time - two years for Sara, Ray and Kendra, a hell of a lot longer for Mick. Sara going back to the LoA was handled really well. As mentioned earlier, Ra's was so much better here than he ever was in Arrow. And I've said it before but I will say it again, the lack of Vandal Savage makes this show so much better. I really hope they wrap up that particular storyline this season and don't carry it over in to next. |

If they do finish up the Vandal Savage storyline, what will season two be about? I mean the whole reason for them teaming up and travelling through time was dealing with Savage. Would Captain Cold and Heatwave stick around without Vandal Savage to deal with?
Good episode, had no idea Chronos was Heatwave but wasn't too shocked as it made a kind of sense in a tv kind of way. |
