Either works. As this is more a generic thread on the show, we might as well continue here; if anyone questions why we're discussing the second season of a show in a topic started for season one, we can just blame time travel.

Works for me Things have been a bit quiet on the LoT S2 front though, I've not seen a vast amount of publicity for it yet.

THAT was effin' amazing.

Oliver Queen, Damian Dark, Justice League of America, REVERSE FLASH!!!, Rip potentially dead, no Hawks or Vandal Savage even mentioned, a plot featuring Albert Einstein, some brilliant sword fighting scenes and they really seem to have upped the CGI budget for the show.

Yep, this looks like it's going to be a damn good season of television.

Plus a dinosaur, roasting nazis, smooching the royality.

(btw: what timecode did they put in to save AtomGuy - Jan 16th 23,000,000 BC or July 23rd 24,943,349 BC - or did they just guess lucky first time ?

Loved that episode. Mad as hell but with this show you expect it by now.

I don't think Rip will be gone for too long to be honest but seeing the gang without him for a bit could do the show a bit of a favour as well.

Nate fits in well enough with the gang but the male/female ratio is still really off with this show. Nice to see Amaya and the rest of the Justice Society at the end of this episode too.

Sara really was seducing women all over the place. The queen of France and the ladies of Salem? While her attempt to take out Damien was ill advised, I did like the scenes with her and Ray though.

The Legion of Doom being set up is a step up from Savage. Missed Snart but not the Hawks to be honest.

Loved Einstein and the various times we saw this week, 8/10

Really Good opener. The New Kid appears to at least partially immune to time line changes and scattering the team showed how they had become a proper team. I gather Rip will be back but maybe taking a less Supervisory role. Helps that the new professor has historical knowledge.

Quite a good opener, if not for two quite simplistic oversights.

1) Oliver Queen quote: "I don't have the time to go chasing through time." uhm, wait ONE SECOND here Ollie. You potentially have all the time in the world to travel through time when your friends need you. You're in a time ship.

2) How exactly did Mr Thawne get to an underwater submarine in the middle of the ocean? Loved that he's the reason Darkh has been able to manipulate time, though I do wonder what his ultimate objective is (yes, we'll find out in time) and why Barry or the Time Wraith aren't on his case (I know Barry is heard later on, so presumably he's aware of Thawne and his latest shenanigans).

Doubt Rip will be out of the picture for long, though I am overjoyed both the Hawks are gone. Wouldn't mind seeing a few more female cast too (as already mentioned). We know Vixen will be joining the crew soon enough, but do we not then still have one seat to fill?

Assuming as a speedster can open breaches to other earths and other times, he must have done it that way as to how he could be so precise no idea, but then he is from the future with all the knowledge and tech that comes with it. Remember the suit in the ring

Yes I didn't quite understand why he said that. I can only think the writers wanting to shoe horn in that 'joke'.

In the comics, speedsters can go to any location they want when they open up a "time portal", which means RF could literally have gone straight from killing Barry's mom again, straight into that submarine.

And I don't think Barry is aware of Thawne's latest shenanigans by any means, or at least not currently. I mean as much as Alchemy and "the rival" are threats, there's no way in hell he'd be aware of RF destroying New York with an atomic bomb in 1942 and just being cool with it.

This is a very promising start. Disppointed to lose Rip (already missing Snart), but I'm assuming he won't be gone for too long.

You might plan to time travel and get back only a few minutes after you left but anyone who watches enough Time Travel shows knows that rarely works out

Weren't the Legends gone for months in Season 1 when they were only supposed to be gone for a few days?

Ollie couldn't take the risk that he would be away for months.

Maybe the RF ran on board while the Sub was on the surface and then just hid till he was needed.


Always got the impression with The Flash/Arrow shows that super powered Heroes and Villains (apart from hidden things like the LoA) were a recent thing in their Universe yet now we see a bunch of Heroes running (and flying) around in the 1940's.

Seems a little odd that no one in Flash or Arrow ever mentioned this sort of thing before.

Hmm, I'm not overly familiar with the DC Universe but, technically speaking, I think Superman (1933) and Batman (1939) were the original DC superheroes? I guess for the Arrow and Flash tv shows they didn't wanna muddy the waters by having to mention all these previous heroes. Maybe story continuity wise they'll explain it by saying the exploits of these previous heroes were covered up for some reason? Or... maybe it's a conoletely seperate timeline, Back to the Future style?

I always think of the JSA being more futurisitic but the comic books started in the 1940's I believe

First comic book appearence was the 60's I'm pretty sure. That's real world though, canonically speaking I have no idea what era DC have placed their origins in. Hopefully the show will answer some of these questions. Do like their look though.

Just did a search it says 1940's but superhero comics waned towards the end of the 40's and made a reappearance in the 60's to summarise

Presumably superheroes (and villains) of the past were lesser known? That, and there wasn't so many devices capable of recording their antics that they may have been able to pay off the few who did see them?

Let's say the original Flash timeline is timeline A, Flashpoint is timeline B and now we're in timeline C.

Future Barry was from "Timeline 0" where Harrison Wells was just himself and presumably his mom may have been alive? But he wasn't fast enough which is what prompted RF to create Timeline A, which then caused Barry to create Timeline B and Timeline C, meaning Future Barry might not have any memory of this.

...I don't know man time travel is confusing.
