Another episode that I enjoyed.

Does Rip actually have any kind of plan with their missions? It seems like he just jumps from one idea to the other without any clarity what to do or how to do it!

I loved seeing Mick without Snart. He had some good moments. He is also fairly competent despite his preference for mindless violence.

Highlight was seeing Demi-Goddess Kendra vs Pit Rage Sara. I would have happily watched that showdown for a lot longer!

"Gideon, bone me" has to be the best line from the series so far.

IIRC he basically said they don't know enough about what Savage was doing back then because he's kept himself under the radar if he can. So they're following any leads they've got and trying to thwart him on the fly rather than having a definite plan.

They obviously want to kill him (although only Kendra can do that with particular objects) but in the meantime they're trying to keep him from gaining power in any way they can.

I rather unashamedly love this show and its motley crew of characters and this week cemented that.

Len, Sara, Mick and Rip are the standouts for me so far. Stein and Ray close behind. Kendra and Jax need more to do but I certainly don't dislike them.

Some great stuff with the characters this week. Sara and Len (or Caity and Wentworth) have excellent chemistry and the stuff between them just works. Mick and Ray aren't two characters you'd ever expect to work together but they do. Mick wanting to save Ray when Len thinks he should be left to his own devices - not something I expected to see!

And Darvill is so much better as Rip Hunter than he was as Rory Williams (or more accurately perhaps, Rip is a much better character than Rory!)

I appreciate that this seems to sit tonally between Flash and Arrow. It's not quite as light as Flash but no where near as serious as Arrow wants to be. Tbh whilst I'm really enjoying this and Flash, Arrow is becoming more of a chore.

Somewhat better than the previous episode. The episode might have gone a little overkill with the Prison Break references and Russian stereotyping but I really enjoyed this one.

Valentina is a lot more interesting than Savage as a villain. Loved all of her scenes with Stein and kind of hoping that we actually get to see her again.

Nice to see Stein/Jackson finally on the same page, loved Jackson/Kendra working together, Rip had his moments and looked nice in a towel and the Ray/Heatwave scenes were great.

Sara and Cold, every scene with them is pure gold and this week was no exception. The Cisco cameo was nice too but the end scene with Connor Hawke and Star City 2046 was brilliant, 8/10

I don't care that it's cheesy, I absolutely love it, the interactions between the team are what makes it work and the fact that they're not conventional superheroes always getting it right.
I like that they screw up, I like that Rip really doesn't seem to have a clue what he's doing and I like that they're not all always going to do the right thing and then they just drop a little surprise on you like Mick's rescuing of Ray.

Last night's was another solid episode with plenty going on and I think the production values on this show really are at another level to its DC stable mates. Probably why they keep rumouring it'll only be one season, which would be a crying shame.
My only real complaint is that I don't think Casper Crump nails it as Vandal Savage but it's not his fault, he got cast in the role so the writers really need to do better by him. I think his accent just makes him sound like a cartoon villain most of the time unfortunately. He doesn't have the menace or the bored ennui I'd expect from an immortal meglamaniac!

But, besides all that, the Snart snark makes the whole show worthwhile and I think the dynamic and chemistry between him and Sara is phenomenal.
His quip about Prison Break was genius and I love that the writers slip in these little Easter Egg nods to the other shows their cast have been on.

Also ace first glimpse of Connor Hawke!

I honestly love this show. The characters are what keep me watching. The story isn't that great, but it's decent enough to keep my interest. I love the cast the most, though. Each of them manage to bring out the best in their characters, and that really comes across well in the show.

I loved seeing the more human side to Mick this episode. It was nice seeing him think about someone else beside himself and Snart.

Great way to end the episode. Here's hoping we see an older Oliver.

Another great episode & as for the BIB, from what I have seen that could well happen.

Methinks an older Ollie could single-handedly raise this show from awesome to mega-awesome were he to show up.

Great episode tonight. I think that's the first episode I finally thought "Yeah I actually really like this show".

btw: now that they know this can be used for communications, maybe they should come up with some kinda code, like A = danger; B = stay away, I'm having sexy time; C = don't forget the milk, and you might as well pick up some eggs too, and some skittles, etc etc. And its location can mean something too. Or at least write smaller, darn it.
... maybe in the finale Rip mentions a black marker does the trick too. Camera then swings to the 2 guys, covered from head to toe in bloody scars, looking slightly miffed.

It's doing pretty well. It's rating about the same or slightly above Arrow. Above the CW average at the mo.

I hope they give it a second series and keep it at 13 episodes - it's better for it tbh because that means you don't have the filler and they can do ore with the budget.

It was good again despite trotting out every Russian stereotype they could find.

The pairings continue to shine, with Ray and Mick this week being the stand-out and the continuing interaction between Sara and Snart.

Sadly Hawkgirl is still the weakest link but everyone else has been getting some great stories, most of all Sara. Rip using Star City to dangle over her head to get the job done was so wrong but oh so good.

Vandal Savage is now reminding me of Kenny from South Park. I keep expecting one of his cronies to appear and shout "Oh my God, they killed Savage!" each week.

It is fun, isn't it?

Aside from the tension between Hot and Cold, and the comedy factor with Kendra's attention, I didn't think this episode was all that spectacular if I'm honest.

I know we're not suppose to take any of this remotely serious, but lets break it down; Oliver Queen who was defeated and turned into a hermit suddenly is capable of firing arrows with precision and taking the fight to someone who has always been in the game? Shouldn't Oliver have needed time to retrain? It is however nice to know that even a hermit growing a beard, he still has time to style his hair exactly the same as 30 years ago. Would a wig have been too much to ask?

Speaking of Slade Jr too, that's poor casting. Then there's the time travel stuff; Rip clearly stating that this is/was a potential future, and that once their mission is done, and Savage is defeated, he'd return everyone to 2016 - obviously that'll never come to pass then, surely? If all these characters were returned to 2016, wouldn't they have been there anyway?

if Rip manages to defeat Savage in the past (lets say 1987), would the future Star City (of 2016) be the same? If Rip manages to defeat Savage in the present, or the future (before his own birth) could/would that not mean that he'd never actually meet his wife and have a son?

Thinking endgame, I'm wondering whether Savage will be unstoppable until a time when he actually is suppose to die. Nobody has thought to travel to the future and see if he's still walking around when we're walking around on Mars?

Good episode, though Deathstroke Jr was a bit of a charisma free baddie and a little too quickly taken out in the end.

I liked the reveal of Connor Hawke actually being Diggle's son, very well done show.

Oliver and Sara had some great moments. I also liked Sara calling out Rip a few times during this one.

Kendra/Ray/Jax was played for laughs but was an amusing enough side plot moreso for Stein's inclusion of it.

Nice bit of conflict between both Cold and Heatwave. Seems like both of them are being changed by their recent adventures and aren't sure where to go from here in a way, 8/10

I just hope they let it go now as I was glad of a show without this love interest / triangle crap that they always feel the need to put in.

Definitely agree that Death stroke Jr was a total let down in the charisma and be afraid of category.

Enjoyed Connor Hawke he was great and also liked that he was Johns son.

The only thing I found odd about the ep was Hawkgirl and Ray fly in to the rescue yet Fire storm walks in...shouldn't he have been flying too

Firestorm was too cool for showy flying... he just wanted to strut.
