I love the relationship they're slowly building between Sara and Len - it's a really interesting dynamic that you could see going somewhere but it's obviously secondary to both of them sorting out their own personal issues and demons. Which is why I like it - it's a potential romance that doesn't define them.

Ray and Kendra? I'm fine with that mostly because Ray's actually really good to her. He has a lot of respect for her and her abilities and he isn't about showing of to her (as Jax was).

Good to see Rip's story fleshed out a bit. Gives the audience a bit more reason to really feel for his loss.

Stein's role was amazing - I love that one of the action heroes is a scientist in his 60s!

And Mick... Well he really gave Len no choice with what he did but that whole thing was so well written and really well built up over the last couple of weeks. They really fed us the details of their friendship well as it feel apart and that made it sad even though Mick is a complete sociopath and far too dangerous for them to keep around.

I know the producers have said the team will have changes to it and we've obviously lost Carter and Mick (for now) but I'm not sure how they can get rid of any more of them - the remaining characters are all fairly key! Still that leaves two slots on the team to be filled by others.

As for the only doing one series rumours the makers are already talking about series 2.

Conner Hawk (Future Green Arrow) and Vixen are names that are getting thrown around for the team.

Another good episode. I did feel a bit disappointed with how they ended Mick's story for now. Hopefully he may be back in future episodes. Not sure how I feel about Kendra and Ray hooking up, but at least she'll have something to distract her until the next reincarnation of Khufu appears.

I like the development going between Leonard and Sara. Hopefully we'll have something interesting going on there in the coming episodes. Stein was great this episode with his moments.

In terms of team line-up changes as long as they never lose Stein, Sarah or Snart I'd be A-OK with whatever direction they decide to go in. Stein and Snart both make this show imo.

Mick probably isn't dead, unfortunately. I'd still dislike him even if he suddenly dropped the ridiculous growl when he speaks.

Everything about this show is a complete mess. I can't see myself sticking with it if it makes it past one season.

My other half feels the same as you. We both love Flash and Arrow, but she is having a major downer about how telegraphed the "peril" of the week is on LoT.

I'm the same. It's all just rather dreary and seems to be without any actual depth of any kind. It almost feels like they made up the story in about five minutes.

Stein and Snart are awesome (as always) but I couldn't stand what's his face as Rory - never mind Rip Hunter - he's (IMO) a particularly weak actor and doesn't have the gravitas for this role. I just see a weak actor in a role that needed so much more.

I'm fast losing interest. It needs something - and fast.

I thought with it having a short run it would be all thriller no filler but they seem to just drift from one mess to another with no actual direction.

They're supposed to be taking down Savage. Not wondering around space having flings and getting into mishaps.

Another great episode. Loved the mirroring fight scenes on both ships, great direction for those.
Shocked at Mick actually turning on his partner, he's always been a loose cannon but to actually betray Snart was something else.

Glad they've given some more of the back story for Rip. Interesting to see his wife was once a potential Time Master and a better one than Rip. Makes the whole thing even more poignant when he uses her battle strategy to get the pirates off the Acheron.

But handsdown VIPs of the episode are Caity Lotz and Wentworth Miller when they get trapped with death on the horizon and we get more of Snart's backstory with Mick Rory and Sara explains about how it feels to die. I love this paring and the fact Snart has found something worth trying to be better for even if they're not a romantic pair is really compelling to watch.

Sara has developed into such a fantastic character with real depth and complexity and it has been fascinating to watch the layers being peeled away. Same with Mick and Leonard, who were always my favourite pair of villains on The Flash.

Not massively keen on the Ray & Kendra pairing, they need to find something to do with her really but absolutely loved Ray's Star Trek nerdgasm, the Star Wars references and the Easter Eggs which Rip threw in for the pre-planned protocals including Kanjar Ro.

Also loved seeing Callum Keith Rennie, have loved him since Due South, although the Black Pirate might be pissed they nicked his name and gave it to a villain rather than the heroic buccanner that Jon Valor normally is!

Plus we got Professor Stein, Space Ranger, which was beyond awesome!

Still not sure if Rory is really dead, but the heartbeaking look on Leinard's face as he fired the freeze gun could be a clue, he looked like he was having to put down a lived pet who had gone rogue, which is pretty much what happened.

Whilst Connor (the 2049 version of him at least) might be a good candidate, they're planning on erasing his timeline (so yeah, about that?). Also, with Vixen, pretty sure that actress has a strong role in another show? That's why she only got the one episode in Arrow (thus far at least). To have her as part of a functional team, for a series, that might not work out.


They've no doubt got to mix it up every now and again. If ever episode was them failing to defeat Savage, I think their competence would be called into question.


I look at it like I did with Carter; if they're actually going to kill someone off, then they're going to show it happen. It would be somewhat pointless otherwise.

My issue is with the lack of direction. I don't expect them to be fighting savage every episode.

But I also didn't expect them to be just ambling about in space doing not much.

Not a lot they can do without any leads to follow.

They needed to rescue the other Time Craft in order to get access to the updated Time Info which has now given them a new lead on where Savage is.

With regards to the idea that "It's a short run therefore it should be right in the middle of the action ALL THE TIME", the showrunners have confirmed they have multiple ideas for Season 2 and beyond, so it might not be as short a run as you'd expect, meaning they have time to do whatever they feel like.

Besides, the show needs some episodes that give them a bit of down-time, if they thought Savage every episode it'd get boring and would make Savage as an overall villain totally redundant. Plus just the fact they made one of the members of the team the villain makes this episode more than just "them on a ship doing nothing"

The same actress voices the animated version which is usually only six episodes of 10 minutes each (for a total of 30 minutes each season) so I don't think that would prohibit her appearing on LoT.

Absolutely. Interestingly pretty much every single critic apart from one, has put Marooned as the best episode yet for this season.

I knew that, but recording a little voicework isn't half as dedicated as actually performing. Reading a script (in character) and then actually turning up to do stunts, makeup, costumes, settings and all the rest of it. Not a 30minute job.


Especially when they can (potentially) travel back in time and collect Mick (or anyone else for that matter) from a point before they actually died... Speaking of, I wonder why they can't do that with Carter?

When I said she wouldn't likely be on Legends because of her being on another show, I wasn't talking about the animated show. She was in a show (main role) called Mind Games, and is set up as another character on another show (again, a main role) called Damien.


Well they're obviously setting up Ray to have his heart broken. At some point Kendra is going to meet another Carter, and her feelings will become mixed.

Regarding Damien though, it's a short run all been filmed already for the first season and, going on initial reviews, doesn't sound like it's likely to get a second one so who knows

Well I felt like that was somewhat of an odd episode...

Kendra and Ray playing husband and wife, nothing wrong with that until Savage turns up. Had it had just been Kendra there, I'm sure they could have played the part, but as soon as Ray turned up, well, wouldn't Savage have recognized him straight off? It seems, somewhat, that he did anyway, yet he didn't play the part. Didn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

I figure the next episode will be set several months down the line, after Kendra, Ray and Sara have been living in that town for a bit?

This was 1958 so from his POV he hadn't met Rey yet (The other eps they met were in the 70's and 80's)

Timey Wimey stuff confusing the hell outta me....

Great episode. The explorations into racism (Kendra, Jax), sexism (Kendra, Sara) and sexuality (Sara) were handled pretty well in the episode.

I'm warming to Kendra and Ray and I did like their scenes with Savage even if he's lost momentum as a villain though.

Jax had a horrible time throughout this episode but at least Stein and Snart helped him out though.

Sara and Lindsay's storyline was nice. I like how the show has handled Sara's bisexuality. Just an excellent job there.

Rip and Cold did look great in their 50s detective gear but the bird monsters did look ridiculous.

Nice cliffhanger there and I still don't believe that Heatwave is dead, 8/10

If something went wrong with the ship causing it to return to this place in 5 years time and they bumped into the 3 leftovers, would they then be able to say "hey don't come aboard, we'll zip back those 5 years and take you then, your younger prettier selves" or would some timey-wimey stuff stop them from doing that. I'm defn thinking a time jump will be seen in the next ep, but whether we jump there or get to see how the leftovers deal wth their being left behind (in something akin to the Disney Up intro), well that remains to be seen.
