Funny story, especially when the robbers allow the hostages to make a barbecue. Or Ken and Mike being tied up with each other.

I seem to remember Ken and Mike called a truce at long last during the siege, but it didn't last long and they soon went back to hating each other.

It was funny that so many residents from the same street were in the Frescos at the same time lol and one of the gunmen happened to be Linda Baldwins brother.

I thought it was dreadful - bad acting and games of watermelon bowling

Watching it now.

Thought it was awful at the time, but certainly watchable now. Alma, Mike, Curly, Fred, Ashley...........some decent characters there.

I thought it was a bit silly. Suddenly all those regulars show up at the supermarket near closing and are the only customers there. There's a hostage drama and at the end a hostage taker is shot dead, and he's revealed to be the brother of another regular (Mike's girlfriend, who is waiting outside) and then the police shooter removes her mask and it turns out she's Curly's (dull) girlfriend.

I can remember one of the gunmen swearing and was quite surprised that they broadcast it, even if it was after the watershed.

From memory things did get a lot better between Mike and Ken after the siege and by the end of Mike's life they were on friendly terms again.

Yes he did.

I can remember watching the episode when it was broadcast and being a little shocked at the profanity, given that although it was a 'late night' episode (shown after 9pm), you'd think they wouldn't want to risk alienating any regular viewers who usually watch at 7.30pm.
