It's not like the old days when we used to get a new part at around 3000 posts.

Aww, I loved our boys in that shabby old flat.
We'll get a new one one day, don't worry

I still miss the council flats

It was ultimately worth it, however painful.

I'd happily spend my life watching them bickering and eating biscuits and watching tv.

Me too Even the most simple things were so interesting and wonderful. They have that rare chemistry where everything they do together is incredibly watchable.

I was just thinking of that little scene where the boys are wandering home to the slum with Leah. Lucas is at judo. And they're talking about Doug having a go at Brendan when he thought he'd hurt Ste (after the playfighting) and Brendan says it was like the Bay of Pigs, and Ste doesn't know what he means so he explains it was a failed invasion by the Americans, and Ste answers the phone and it's Amy, and he's lying to her because she's meant to think he and Doug are still together, and Brendan has picked Leah up and he makes a funny face at her, and it's all just so domestic and in tune and everything, and so full of character, and .

And the show knew that it mattered and that it was everything, because the only point of it was to show how perfect and wonderful it was, before they walked in and discovered Amy was back, and all that perfection and wonderfulness was suddenly at risk.

That's why I'm dreading Amy coming back. God willing Brenden one day comes back she better be more forgiving. I just watched a music video of Ste and Amy's friendship on youtube called Never say Never and one of the voiceovers Ste asks Amy why she came back(after Abuse storyline) and she said she sees people change, well if she could see that in Ste why can't she see that in Brenden

That scene is amazing. Those two worked so well together, and both characters were acting entirely believably.

Brendo was trying so hard. He (and we) could feel the terrible momentum that was gathering, things feeling more fragile, the prospect of everything starting to slip away.

That's one of my favourite scenes. It's just so normal and it feels so right, like they've always been a family. There's so much to love about it: Ste holding little Leah's hand, and the way that Brendan instinctively picks Leah up, just because he wants to. And the mocking of Doug is of course amazing Plus Amy looks all kinds of awesome in her red lipstick, back to bring our boys angst. But it was a good kind of angst - there was so much history there between the three of them.

Ooh that scene is amazing. I love how Brendan says that he'd kill anyone who tried to hurt Leah and Lucas, and Amy says exactly. Then Brendan tries to pass it off as a figure of speech but Amy knows it's not with him.

That part in the gif does make me laugh though, because Ashley gets all up close and stares at Embo's lips Who can blame the girl? Bramy scenes were always electric and endlessly interesting, and I love how Amy could often see right through Brendan. I'll never forget when she said that she'd never met anyone more alone, and Brendan's heart just breaks

How easy it would be to just sweep the floor and pick up a strand of his hair *fills out a job application*
