I hope there's a helpline for when he gets a job as a clean shaven character.

I'll be ringing it 24/7

I loved Simon's look too, but I'll be counting down the days for him to grow the beard back The only plus side will be knowing that Kieron will fancy him (although I think he secretly does with the beard too )

At least we know Embo prefers being bearded, so between jobs he's not going to start shaving every morning.

And it seems to only take him about a day to grow it back

Rachel comes across so well in the interview she tweeted.

Me too

Or even better, I want to be Pancake so Emmett can give me hugs

It's lovely. I know Mitzeee was popular, but I still think she was underrated. Rachel was really good and was brilliant at both comedy and drama. She really made that part her own. I'm glad that she probably won't return to Hollyoaks. Everything seemed tied up. I wasn't a big Riley/Mitzeee fan but it seemed fitting that she was having his baby in the end.

I do think they recognised how good she was because Mitzeee ended up having much more depth and variety than the character she was when she arrived. She was a bit like Embo in that respect, making something special out of what she was given and consequently being given much more when the producers picked up on it. I know what you mean about her being underrated though. There were other women in the show who had more fuss around them for peripheral things (magazine shoots etc) which seemed to feed into how much they were perceived as a 'face' of the show and therefore whether they'd be put forward for awards and so on.

But she did very good work in HO, got great experience and got out at the right time. And Mitzeee hasn't been tainted by being stuck into increasingly desperate or repetitive plots, so s'all good.

Not so much underrated by the show, but maybe by the audience. I don't think she's someone who people really talk about that much these days, but she was brilliant. Easily one of my favourite female characters along with Jacqui and Nancy (back when Nancy used to be good.) And I don't think she was ever nominated at the BSAs.

It's almost spooky how her, Embo and Claire all knew exactly when to leave. Maybe it was just a coincidence, but they chose the exact right time.

I'm not really aware of who people talk about. I'm very much in an Emmetty bubble.

Yes, no one will be able to say 'back when Mitzeee used to be good', or Jacqui or Brendan. Bronagh chose the right time to leave too, and even Jay although the circumstances were different as he was guest cast, but if he'd gone back as a regular he may not have done the things he's done since. The only member of the family who didn't make it out of there to spread their wings is Ste.

That's what I say Kieron has been on there longer then Emmett was, almost ten years now, he should know that the time to leave would be now, to spread his wing. Plus possibly give us the Stendan reunion were all praying for

And I just read that Kieron Tweeted that there is going to be no Ste this summer, I wonder if that means the whole Ste and Harry storyline is off

It sounds like a wonderful place to be

I forgot about Bronagh I really hope Jay never comes back or they never recast Declan. They'd only do a terrible Declan/Ste affair storyline. I can see BK salivating at the thought of it.

It's crazy to think that someone so talented hasn't left to do other things... Besides Tony, everyone else he ever had a meaningful relationship with has gone. All of it's just a copy, repeating the same old stories like Emmett predicted, only not nearly in the same league.

I'm sure Jay will never go back (unless it was for the Later week when Brendan goes back to get Ste out of there. ) Apart from anything else it would be far too much of a reminder of Brendan, who is several loves of Ste's life ago and barely worth remembering.

That comment of Kieron's to someone on Twitter about being off screen in the Summer, when he said "giving you a break til the next ship", came across to me as a bit eye-rolling, here we go again type of thing. I know it's hard to judge tone from a tweet but that was how I thought it seemed.

#BradyHays This is one of the only times where I'm hoping that's the case, that they'd never bring him back because they want to forget about Brendan I hope no one from the Hollyoaks team is lurking right now and gets any ideas... *deletes posts*

I hope so. It just hurts to see him talking about a new ship. I don't know why though, I know Harry/Ste are coming and I think we're all more or less used to it after seeing Ste with so many love interests. But it just shouldn't be happening

Same as when he tweeted " every little helps this year" in january. Probably meaning the pressure of the HIV storyline. And now 6 months into it, all people are talking about is the gay guy who kissed a girl and liked it and who'll also soon wonder off to fancying a boy barely out of diapers.

So true I don't think the HIV storyline even had its moment of glory. It's pretty much sunk without a trace. It's been very inconsistent too - one moment Ste didn't want to sleep with JP because of it. The next moment he was happy to be with Connor, and then Sinead, with absolutely no mention of it. There really isn't anything to look forward to as a Ste fan

In happier news: Emmett's beard

I had so much hope for more Connor/Ste meaningful interactions. Certainly not what we actually got BIB: and yet i still can't let him go
