Anyway, while I was there I found this thread, which amused me.

I would never leave you all on your lonesome

I don't mind having this thread, but does it effect how quickly pages load for you? Luckily it doesn't make a difference for me.

That thread was popular I see...

It's fine on my computer but on my phone it seems to load more slowly the more pages it gets. It might just be because my phone is old though,

Deservedly popular.

One day we'll get that new thread, don't worry

He'll definitely always be remembered...

I was actually watching this scene last night and it can be said from that too! And they're not even together there but does it matter? Hell to the no.

That scene is AMAZING. Doug's expression as he watches them makes me crack up

Also that's the hoodie of Brendan's that Ste wears after his exit

It was horrible. We'd seen some issues before with their different lifestyles (Dom likes partying, likes trashy magazines, doesn't mind if the flat is untidy; Isaac is more sophisticated and ambitious) but the way Isaac treated him last week was more extreme than we'd seen before. Then this week, after they'd spent Christmas apart and Dom was completely under they impression they'd broken up, Isaac acted as if all it had been was a row like all couples have, said he hadn't been in touch because he thought Dom needed some space after 'flouncing off', and generally made Dom doubt his own perception of what had happened. Isaac is also starting to isolate Dom from his friends.

So it looks as if (and this is where it tangentially relates to this thread...) they're setting up a storyline about domestic abuse, although in this case it's psychological/emotional abuse so far. If they do it well it will be interesting.”

I was most upset when Syed stamped on Arthur's medal.

Has anyone seen the US series This Is Us? It's currently on C4, I've watched a couple of eps and just catching up on ep 3. There's a character called Jack played by Milo Ventimiglia, and in the scenes set in the earliest time frame (it jumps around so we see the characters at different points in ther lives) he has Embo hair and an Embo beard, and it makes me want to see Embo.

I've just looked him up to find a picture, and discovered that he's two years older than Embo and was named the world's sexiest vegetarian in 2009 (when Embo was still a carnivore)

I've been watching this too Sarah, poor Dom! The acting is rather good in Holby so hopefully if the storyline's heading where we think, it'll be done right.

I've been meaning to watch it but I still haven't. I know Milo from the amazing Gilmore Girls though. Have you also seen him sporting a tache recently? Maybe he's an Embo/Brendan fan

I know this is a BB appreciation thread but I always think of it as a Stendan one too, so - just seen the latest Hollyoaks and Amy's awful fella has told Leah that Ste used to hit Amy. Apparently tomorrow's episode picks up afterwards where Ste comes home from France so I'm interested to see if we get big emotional scenes. I like the show a lot more when it focuses on the characters that have been around for ages. In other news I've heard Kieron hasn't been shortlisted for that NTA But was pleased he got the Best Actor title in the DS reader awards.”

UPDATE: Just watched tonight's E4 ep & Ste was just about to admit to a very upset Leah that he did hit Amy all those years ago, when Amy stepped in and said that it wasn't true & that *Duncan from Blue* had lied about it. Kieron & Ela May were SO good in the scenes it was emotional. Then later there was a great Ste/Amy scene where he talked about the state his life's in. I think tomorrow is where Harry plans to propose to him. Ste's obvs not a happy man at the mo so can't see him saying yes. And if he does don't think his heart's in it. So yet again more indirect proof that Brendan is still the love of his life.

I'd love if Amy had actually called him this

I'm 99% sure that Ste will say yes and they'll have the inevitable big wedding. He's become the Ross Geller of Hollyoaks. None of it means anything anymore. We all know that there'll be a cheating plot sooner or later anyway.

They've chosen the right character to do it with as Dom is one of their stars and very funny and engaging, and we've seen him develop during his time in the show so we care about him, flaws and all.

The casting of Isaac is interesting, assuming this was his intended story from the start. They went the opposite way to casting Brendan. Brendan was an unknown but quickly revealed himself to be a baddie and would have carried on as such for the six month plot if Emmett hadn't changed everything (Everything!) by making Ste and us fall in love with him. Whereas Marc came with a lot of good will from his time in EE, so they've overthrown our expectations in the opposite way.

He has a tache in another of the time frames in the series.

I'd recommend giving it a go. It's not the sort of thing I'd normally try, but when I did I found I liked it.

I wonder if Mojo's watching it. She fancies Milo as far as I know

Indeed; and it was obvious they only really did the Ste/JP wedding so they could be the first soap to show a gay wedding since it got legalised. It's just wedding after wedding now in Hollyoaks. Whereas in Emmerdale with Robron I think it could be the first gay soap wedding to be genuinely meaningful if they do it well.

I think they were even late with that, as I remember people talking about how another soap beat them to it.

Emmerdale. That didn't seem to register as it involved two not particularly glamorous women rather than two young guys, but it was far more believable.

BTW, isn't Ste still married?

To his dead dad's ex, his dead husband's ex, his dead (behind the eyes) boyfriend's schoolteacher, and the love of his life's meaningless rebound shag, yes.
