You know I hadn't thought about it until Soap Scoop mentioned it but Kieron will be taking quite a while off won't he? I'd like to think he'll get the full year. Carl being a DJ only does the evenings surely? Just wondering what kind of temporary exit they could give him.

Carl works as a DJ but Kieron has also mentioned going to his office, so I imagine he has a day job as well to supplement whatever DJ bookings he gets. Could well be in insurance sales, it's the sort of thing lots of actors do in between jobs.
As for Kieron's paternity leave, maybe he'll just have a few weeks paternity leave and then a lighter schedule for a while, rather than taking months and months completely off. I'd guess they'd prefer not to have him off screen completely if they can persuade him.
