I think Ste could wear a bin bag and kill Cheryl and he'd still be the most beautiful, miraculous thing Brendan's ever seen So maybe he wouldn't mind either way. I do love the contrast between them though, so I'd choose clean shaven Ste (with the occasional stubbly Ste for when he's been lazy about shaving, and Brendan can get some stubble rash between his thighs.) For Kieron I think I love both equally.
