Realistically Emmerdale won't get best soap, so I hope EE gets it.

I'd say Adam Woodyatt has a better chance than Danny Dyer this year for Best Actor because it's not just a popularity contest public vote, the panel gets a say too, and I think there'll be strong sentiment in both public and panel votes towards Adam because of the EE anniversary as someone who's been there since the beginning.

I would love Natalie Anderson to get Best Actress. She wouldn't get it if it was just the public, as Emmerdale never does, but it's anybody's guess how the fifty/fifty system is going to affect things this year. I wonder if there'll be some surprising results...

I think the panel having a say will probably put an end to the surprising results like there have been in the past. I can't really imagine Hollyoaks winning anything, but then I didn't think they would last year either.

I'm not sure that was viewer voted though. Still a strange decision anyway.


That's a good point, I keep forgetting about the 50:50 split.

I voted for Alison King in Corrie who is always consistently brilliant. I don't think she'll get it though because her big story ended a while ago and she hasn't done as much since.

It really is a big shame that Emmerdale never seems to win. From what I've seen on DS it's the only soap that has been consistent this year.

Meanwhile in the final ep of Atlantis, Jason has had a couple of proper snogs with Ariadne, married her, and woken up wrapped in a blanket with her, and also snogged Medea, while so far all little Pythagoras and Icarus have managed is some yearning looks.

He seems genuinely lovely too (and shy). I just have a soft spot for Robert Sugden the character anyway though.
