Mick, please don't sell the pub to awful Alfie!
I've had a stomach full of stupid Alfie, he gets on my nerves big time, and the thought of him and Kat back in the pub is enough to put me off Eastenders completely. He has been pretty poor now for years, he can only act when he's really upset & crying, which doesn't say a lot for his acting talents, does it. And the awful gurning he does, yuck. I hate the thought of the Carters leaving the pub, I love them running it. Some people say they're boring now, I disagree totally, and when Shirley finally believes that Dean raped Linda this will pave the way for much more upbeat storylines from the Carters.

Where the hell would Alife get the money from to buy the pub? He was grateful to have the job at Ian's restaurant. Alfie's anything but loaded.

MICK, DO NOT SELL TO ALFIE! Unless it is in the script that Mick sells the pub to Alfie he won't and it isn't in the storyline as far as I know so it probably won't be happening! People might think that Alfie is stupid and a moron but he and Kat are the ones who've won a million pounds so he's a 'millionaire moron' and it's Mick and his barrel of laughs family who are struggling to buy Shirley out of her half of the pub! |

Alfie will buy the pub but let Carters continue to run it while they go off to Ireland then it means kat and alfie always have a reason to return.

Mick won't sell because The useless Carters could survive or sustain their roles outside the Vic.
I thought Mick was so shameless asking Alfie to "bung some some money his way". Just do what everyone else would do and remortgage! Not sponge off your mates! |

I completely agree. I think Kat and Alfie leave soon for Ireland. There is no way I want Alfie back in the pub! Shane's acting is just acting as himself with that godawful cheeky chappy thing he has going on. I love the Carters in the Vic. Once the rape storyline has closure there will more than likely be better stories for the Carters. Hopefully the baby is Mick's and there will be joy in the Carter household. I really, really hope Alfie doesn't return to Eastenders full stop.

I'm still baffled as to why Mick needs money. He bought a pub with cash so he must have been pretty loaded and the pub is surely running at a profit. Apparently he owes Shirley money which all seems to stem from the pub needing some repairs and Shirley getting £10k from her Dad and investing it in the pub. However Stan is now dead and was in fact a member of the family too and as Shirley never paid him back as I recall is that money still actually hers money to be repaid? Anyway what would that £10k bring her now? Certainly not the kind of amounts she seems to be trying to extort from Mick.
Maybe Mick will realise this and decide he doesn't need to sell
