Find it hard to believe that Marco didn't feel that touch foul 😬
Downright cheating for me and there is absolutely no excuse for it. I imagine Mark Allen is desperate to get on Twitter but wisely keeping his mouth shut.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt because he's one the nicest guys you could ever meet according to Dennis.

Definitely. You've played snooker and as you know you can easily feel if your hand has made contact with a ball even if it doesn't move at all.

To cheat means he would have gained from his actions. Did he ?

Cheating is a VERY strong word. And in this instance i think the wrong one. In football players often call for a throw or goalkick etc when they know it isnt. In cricket the vast majority of shouts of “Howzat ?” are nowhere near out but the bowler tries it on. Are they cheating ? No, just playing the game. The players aren’t the referees in this match. Now dont get me wrong, i like to see players own up to their fouls but they do not have to, so in other words he has done nothing wrong, he hasnt cheated. To cheat means he would have gained from his actions. Did he ?
It is hugely dishonest. His card will be well and truly marked with his fellow players, if it already wasn't. |

He denied Selby 4 points which may have been crucial in the frame.

Fu has sunk in my estimation and I hope Selby ends up the winner. |

Sorry, but snooker has not gone down this road, and I wouldn't like to see it happening. I've been so impressed when snooker players own up, even if the ref misses the foul.

I wonder if Fu spent the interval on the naughty step.

I am not saying what he did was right, it wasn't. I am just saying he did not cheat. Cheating is a deliberate and obvious act. Whilst this looked obvious on the camera, we have absolutely no proof that it was deliberate.

I'm sure he didn't deliberately touch the red, but Steve Davis and Stephen Hendry both said he would have known he fouled. Doesn't get much more authoritative than that.

His decision not to own up was deliberate Darren, even if he didn't have long to think about it.
And remember, Mark Selby is my favourite player

That does not make him a cheat though does it ? What rule has he broken ? An unwritten one. Dishonest maybe, cheat ? certainly not.

We need the stat muffin to step up to the plate, [ or saucer ] , would this be the first time no player from the British Isles in the World Snooker final ?
This is the terminal start of the beginning of the commencement of the end of UK Snooker as we know it. I do agree the game needs a massive kick up the arse as its dying as a whole. A player like Ding with the personality of a brick winning the title is terrible for the game. |

Even if Fu wins, Selby won the 'finger' frame so doesn't really matter. Now, had Fu won that frame and went on to win the match....I would have enjoyed the ensuing histrionics immensely
