I've always said Trump is overrated! Yes, his game has improved, but he still plays more recovery shots to gain position that most players!

The hot shot new kid on the block has gone now
Sorry but you are talking rubbish. Trump is not over rated, he is a quality player and he is certainly NOT FINISHED

I guessed you didn't like him on Sunday when you claimed Trump "wasn't bothered about winning" and "making less effort" but to say he has gone is a bit silly.

I mean he only hit 82 centuries last season - what a load of crap 😛

I see the live draw for the International Championship predictably went pear shaped with players in the wrong part of the draw. Be interesting to see what Wolrd Snooker do about it - I assume they can't leave it as it is with top 16 players due to meet each other at last 64 stage...

I saw the draw after it was made, some crazy fixtures there. How did it go wrong TC ?

Not sure how they managed to do it, but you've got top 16 players like Maguire and White due to meet at last 64 stage. I thought the idea of flat draws was that seeds 1-64 met a 65+ player in round 1 (last 128), then at last 64 stage a top 16 player would draw a 33-64 player and so on....

The draw stays the same ( in terms of who plays who in Round 1 ) but the draw order has amended so two top 16 players cannot meet in round 2 as was the original cock up

Bloody hell I was only reading up on him yesterday. One of those players who never really fulfilled his true potential probably.

Has anyone been watching the 2015 World Cup of Pool?

It's been a very entertaining tournament. It's the final tonight and it's close as hell.

I watched the final. I enjoyed it. England should have won from 5-1 up. I do quite enjoy 9-ball, not too fussed about 8-ball to be honest.

anyway, back to snooker?

Gonna be difficult to find time for the live streams this week so I'll probably catch the footage that pops up on YouTube instead.

Yeah ordinarily I wouldn't be too bothered but as this is a flat 128 draw it's a chance to see the big guns from the get-go. Or gecko, if you watch Dave Gorman.

Incredible result in the International Championship Qualifiers. Judd Trump losing 6-0 to amateur Michael Wild.

Michael is not an amateur Darren. He qualified for the tour by winning the European Snooker Championships.

Incredible result though nonetheless. People on Twitter quick to wonder what went wrong for Judd though and wondering if he wasn't interested in a flight to China.

I say give Michael some credit, best victory of his career. good luck to him in China.

To be fair Trump probably didn't try all that hard maybe? Sometimes when you play someone who is of a lower ranking, you don't always focus as much.

Then again, he could of thrown the match!

I'll probably get flack for saying that, but everyone knows it goes on and I'm not taking about being payed to throw matches.

I suppose it depends what you're comparing the rating to. He was the "next Ronnie" at one point. The next special one. The young star who would win multiple world titles. It was a lot of hype. Is he hitting that mark? Not currently. Could he hit it in the future? Anything is possible I suppose. But right now I don't see him breaking past the Robertson's or the Murphy's to establish himself as the number one.

^ He's already been world number one to be fair....and has played better than Robbo this last calendar year and at time of writing is the second highest earner for the 2015/16 season. So he's not doing so badly.

I never said he was completely finished, but I find it astonishing he should play well against Kyren Wilson, to claw back is deficit in the final of the Shanghai Masters! Then to lose 6-0 in the International Champion qualifiers!

It's my point of view and anything is possible in today's age
