Green ball is his kryptonite

No, he hasn't potted it!

Whoever wins should give the trophy to the audience for sitting through it.

What's the worst session of snooker in quality that you've seen?

Is Dennis Taylor the only commentator as the other one does not want to talk

You think this is a great advert for snooker?!

It's over.

Now the Crucible security can come in and check the audience for rigor mortis.

I'm getting desperate for one of the players to turn around and tell him to shut up.

Thank goodness, the green's been potted!

Ah this reminds me of the good old days with Terry Griffths and Cliff Thorburn finishing matches at three o clock in the morning

I never said it was.

What I did say was Mark Selby is a great ambassador for the game and a quality player. Care to prove your point ?

I find the safety play more impressive and more engrossing than the flashy potting and big breaks.

Peter Ebdon and Graeme Dott are loving this

Incredible session of snooker. In some ways I didn't want it to end! Snooker is more attacking these days so it's rare to see a tactical battle like that!

Let's do it all again tomorrow!

I think because ding wasn't seen as a likely finalist it seems maybe a drag and less final like perhaps the players are getting itba bit in the neck on here and no doubt other forums.

That match was for the purists. Sometimes i do enjoy the tactical battle than somebody winning a frame in five minutes

I was about to post something similar. I found tonight engrossing and didn't want it to end too albeit the two of them clearly needed to get some rest. Great stuff and while I am supporting Ding I am again greatly impressed (and entertained) by Selby. Great session.

He's taking the game back the dark ages. You wonder why people don't consider it a sport and he's your answer. No excitement or flair or something to get the crowd going. He might be a nice guy or whatever, but no kid would want to grow up and be him.

I wonder if Mark Selby studied psychology in university

Maybe century breaks would have been a better answer.
147's are more frequent now than they were in the 80's (there were only 8 in the whole decade) but not that frequent.
That clip of Ronnie's 5m 20s maximum is 19 years old

I enjoyed every minute of that session this evening. Absolutely engrossing session. I wanted it to go on longer.

I have read (not just on here) that some thought it was boring and snooker for old farts!

Well, I loved it and if that makes me an old fart, then an old fart I am!

This is what happens when Terry Griffiths is your coach I suppose! Ding taking almost 5 minutes to decide a shot to play in the semi-final too. Although I thoroughly enjoy turgid spells of safety play. Re-racks should be dis-allowed.

Griffiths is not a poor coach.

Williams and Hendry both won a number of ranking titles under his coaching.
