Gripping hour long decider between Fergal and Bing sees the Irishman victorious on the final black.
Thought Fergal deserved that really, played better safety on the colours. |

Semi finals of the Ruhr Open:
Rory McLeod v Mike Dunn Tian Pengfei v David Gilbert Anyone predict this line up? One of those four will be in the Champion of champions too! |

Look at this page for the list: http://www.championofchampionssnooker.co.uk/players/ So for example. If there's another different winner in Bulgaria, the winner in Mulheim would qualify ahead of him. The only way the Bulgarian winner could qualify is if someone (probably Ronnie) didn't play. |

I think the ET events just go in order of which they are played.

But what if the winner of the International Open hadn't qualified yet ? Surely they would take precedence over the winner here ?

Rory McLeod, surely the ideal replacement for a dithering Rocket in the CofC, is the first man in the final 😛

Dramatic deciding frame!
Tian Pengfei won it in the end but a great effort from Dave Gilbert having needed a snooker on the pink when the black was tight on the cushion. Rory McLeod v Tian Pengfei is the final! |

I'd genuinely forgotten McLeod existed!
I was hoping Dave Gilbert would win after getting to the semi- finals as I've met him and he's a nice lad but a massive underachiever with the talent he has. |

Actually looking at that link that Clarky posted I don't think the winner of this would even qualify if the International Open winner hadn't qualified. I get the impression it will be the World 6 Reds champ - Un Nooh
Rory McLeod is now the number 16 seed, Un-Nooh 17. The only way Un-Nooh can get in it if is the winner of the International Championship has already qualified and if Ronnie withdraws. Meanwhile, great win for Rory McLeod in the final. Another winner for Steven Feeney and his sight right technology! |

No Darren. This event is number 22 on the list. The six-reds is number 27.

But on the link you posted there is a (16) after the name of Un Nooh. That's what made me think he was the 16th person if International Open winner was already in
EDIT - Tweeted Dave Hendon and he said he thinks its Rory. Because McLeod won in Mulheim and because the Ruhr Open was above the six-reds in order of precedence, McLeod now takes the 16th spot with Un-Nooh now 17th (hence why he needs a withdrawal to become one of the 16 players). sorry Darren, I'm not very good at explaining things!

Never mind all that head spinning about who qualifies for what - we mustn't forget to extend a warm congratulations to Rory McLoed on winning the event.
Especially as I always thought Rory would never win a sausage let alone a tournament so well done to him for proving me wrong. |

As a devout Muslim it would be quite funny if he did win a sausage

Not that I can see
Ronnie has his reasons for not entering recent tournaments. One of them, is that he has been on the Legends Tour, incorporating 7 dates and has knocked in 3 maxi's during this. He say's in his latest Eurosport Blog, that he doesn't just turn up for these major tournaments without any preparation. Read it here ... http://www.eurosport.co.uk/snooker/r...59/story.shtml Last edited by ontheradio : 18-10-2015 at 12:55. Reason: Grammer |

International Championship well underway now then and the big story of the first round is world champ Bing going down 6-2 to Yu Delu. Good win also today for Jack Lisowski defeating Ali Carter in a decider.
