That black might have just been the final decisive blow. Ding would need to win 7-1 from here and unless there's a major collapse from Mark Selby, I can't see that happening.

Be nice for Ding to at least take it beyond the mid session...

Not sure why Selby played that way rather than to the left. Oh well. Excellent safety by Ding prior to that.

So after my last quiz question which was

Which two players competed in the last Third place play off, and the answer was

Eddie Charlton and John Virgo

So here is the next question but i have got five questions for you this time. So here is the first question and its a nice easy one to get started

Which player has made the quickest Maximum in snooker history

Which player won his second World title ten years after his first

Name the year when there was two maximums made at the same World Championship and which were two players that made them

Which is the only player to have won the UK Championship The Masters and made a maximum at the World Championship, but never won the World title

And the final question

Name the players who have faced each other the most times in World Championship finals

Are you Willie Thorne ?

Surely people know to turn off their phones before entering The Crucible and yet, even now, one goes off.

That just left Ding to mop everything else up but that isn't his worst mistake of the evening.

Good stuff from Ding Junhui. Guaranteed an interval now!

I always wonder why Virgo Dennis Taylor and Thorne never chat in the studio? as the other guys do both.

Anyway come on Ding make it 16-13 let's have a close final.

So in 2027 when we celebrate 50 years at the Crucible, we will also be celebrating 100 years of the Worlds

Selby is completely gifting Ding this. Terrible play there.

That was criminal from Selby coming up short there

Great shot from Ding there, thought he was going outside the yellow

Especially how he spun it passed the green.

Ding is just rattling that middle pocket, what a shot. Unlucky not to be on a colour.

Fred Davis & John Pullman is the answer to the last one.

At the moment Selby and Ding are miles apart when it comes to safety shots. Ding is brilliant at them; Selby is awful.

Is John Virgo looking at a different table to the rest of us ? “Where’s the cue ball going ?” absolutely nowhere near the pocket

Good comeback from Ding. He is showing great mental strength now. As somebody else said, the weight of expectation on him is immense and he is showing how he can handle it. Win or lose this he has come out of it with credit.

What is that background popping noise on Eurosport?

Why does John Virgo always have to SHOUT WHEN COMMENTATING? He sounds like a complete neurotic. Can;t stand listening to him

There was always going to be a time when Ding would take advantage of the chances Selby is constantly presenting to him at the moment. He's held his head - credit to him there but Selby has been very poor.

Six frames remain - Ding has to win five of them.
