Selby looks like he's the one who lost.

Strange.

I agree.

Anyway what night for Leicester!

Selby now joins the greats in my book - such is the standard of competition to win the world title more than once is this era is very special.
Yes I must admit I fancied Robbo to win a second before Selby - should have known that Mark was too good a player to go the whole season without winning a major! And yet again, he ends the season world number one.

10/1 at the start decent odds but it reflected his poor season

So pleased for Mark. He doesn't seem himself at the moment but as Clarky said, he is World number 1 on credit. I hope this is the re-emergence of Ding as a contender in all events. Too good to be playing qualifiers

*sigh* the righteous indignation about the blunt truth is too much for me, so I'll take my leave!

It's been fun, I'll no doubt catch up with some of you again next season ☺

I bet Selby's kind of gutted Leicester won it tonight - 'dammit, that's my thunder stolen!'

Well played Mark Selby in the end - he's had to battle through a number of matches, but came good when it mattered and got the job done.

Full credit to Ding Junhui for making it a final though - at 6-0 down it could have been too easy to lie down and surrender, but he came back with some quality breaks, and the three on the bounce at 16-11 down showed the class he has. He'll be back stronger for sure.

So after my last quiz question which was

Which two players competed in the last Third place play off, and the answer was

Eddie Charlton and John Virgo

So here is the next question but i have got five questions for you this time. So here is the first question and its a nice easy one to get started

Which player has made the quickest Maximum in snooker history

Which player won his second World title ten years after his first

Name the year when there was two maximums made at the same World Championship and which were two players that made them

Which is the only player to have won the UK Championship The Masters and made a maximum at the World Championship, but never won the World title

And the final question

Name the players who have faced each other the most times in World Championship finals

Ronnie O'Sullivan

Alex Higgins?

2008 - Ali Carter and Ronnie O'Sullivan

Jimmy White?

Stephen Hendry & Jimmy White?
Well done you have got all five questions right and the last question was meant for the Crucible finals but whoever said other players from the past have got it right as well

Now the Championship is over here is one final question

Who is the only player in Crucible snooker history to win his first two World tites by the same scoreline

I thought Mark looked rather awkward when his wife brought his daughter to the table. Didn't seem to know where to put himself.

Anyway well done Mark. Well deserved victory.

I think Vicky Selby is a very attractive woman. Some of the comments on here are just nasty.

I agree - and, and you say, some of the comments are completely unnecessary.

Well done Mark Selby, a bittersweet story of where he came from to where he is now.
