Yep Robbo out in the first round for the third year running - evidently not his favourite event!

Some going by Ballrun in this first SF. Trailing 3-1 at the interval, he's had runs of 67, 123, 72 & 87 to go 2 up with 3 to play...

....which of course only inspires the world champ to storm back and win 6-5. Great game!

Ton of snooker on in the next few weeks so I'm pacing myself a bit, but I'm glad I watched that.
Fantastic match. I just like Selby more and more - a proper champion. |

Yeah I missed the second semi final but was glad to see Ding win to set up a repeat of the last World final pairing.

Fantastic effort by Ding from 1-3 down to win five on the spin and lead 6-3 at the interval. Should be an exciting finale as you'd fully expect a Selby comeback.

Brilliant by Ding, withstood everything Selby threw at him to emerge triumphant and secure a twelfth major. A CV which, let's be honest, the vast majority of pros would kill for.

Great final, well done Ding. Selby not for giving up at the end, played some fantastic snookers!
Ding Junhui has 'officially' qualified for the Champion of Champions now! |

Quick update, snooker qualifiers going on this week. Monday - Wednesday were the European Masters qualifiers (which plays next week in Romania) and today until Saturday is the International Championship qualifiers.
Ronnie O'Sullivan won one game in the European Masters and his 2nd round match against Daniel Wells is being held over to Romania. He's currently 4-1 up (first to 6) on James Cahill in the International Championship qualifiers. One other thing, Shaun Murphy made his fifth career 147 break yesterday, I do believe it was streamed too so there may be a video on YouTube of it. |

Selby looking very impressive again just now, whitewashing Fergal. Looks like there's been some high quality play in other games too just having a flick through some stats. Ronnie O'Sullivan v Daniel Wells, who seems to have improved a lot of late, coming up very shortly....

Such a shame itv4 isn't showing the home nation tournaments instead of the crappy quest channel which I'm assuming will be showing all of them with Eurosport.
