Plus this season I don't think they've missed a final live anyway?

Well I was thinking that as well. Still, I am sure he will come back to this thread and tell us which finals were missed.

Agree that Eurosport have done that in the past but to be fair they've not lately.

Eurosport are notoriously bad for showing all of the tournament up to the semis live but only highlights of the final in some of the tournaments they cover because they show live a crappy one sided WTA tennis final and cycling instead.

In other tournaments thty cover they start live to make way for other sports events, and when they come back live to the snooker the same match is practically all over. How is that good coverage?
I'd say Eurosport's coverage of snooker is pretty good.

As already said I don't think Eurosport have missed a final live this season, and they certainly don't miss a snooker final to show 'a crappy one sided WTA tennis final' as WTA finals are usually not shown live at the weekend. Cycling is usually shown. Rightly so as it garners more viewers.

Just had a quick look and the English Open Final is live on Sunday. No 'crappy one sided WTA tennis final' in sight. Not live anyway.

The milkman experiencing the sort of defeat there that's enough to make you smash your cue and never play again

That's slightly embarrassing for him. He had the match in the bag a couple of times

Congratulations to Alfie Burden on making a 147 break! Incredibly it was 100th career century too! What about that for a double achievement.

Always nice when one of the lesser lights makes the maxi. Very pleased for Alfie, shame he lost the decider mind!

First maximum for ref Tatiana to officiate too

Sadly that complete cretin Goldstein has turned up today.
Totally cringeworthy interview with Ryan Day at the moment.

Is he as annoying on the snooker coverage as on Talksport - surprised anyone else can speak!

Usually trying to butt into everything and make sure he is heard first.

His demeanour around the table - Zhao Xintong reminds me of a very young Stephen Hendry.

This will mean Ronnie now pulling out of the Welsh, Irish and Scottish events, Hearn will be seething.

The way Higgins played I think he could be another out if he doesn't improve and playing so soon after his last match, he'll have do it quick.

When was the last time the sheriff of Pottingham was in a quarter final? Looks like he won't make it this time.

Higgins must be sick of the sight of Trump - that's 9-1 Judd's caned him in the last week!

Andy Goldstein is so unbelievably sycophantic towards Jimmy White, or The Whirlwind as he keeps reminding us.

Looks like the defining moment in the first semi - the Hawk loses a dodgy re-spot to trail 2-5 instead of 3-4.....
