Holty has just lost on the colours - couple of shredsville deciders today, as Jimmy would say

I think there have been about 20 breaks above 130 this tournament, very very impressive considering its still one session matches up until now.

Standard has been very high this year as you say. There have been 68 centuries so far this year, compared with previous years:

2015: 51
2014: 57
2013: 61
2012: 27 (Only 32 players at the venue)

Just been reading on Twitter and noticed that youngster Darryl Hill is battling a disease which is similar to Crohn's Disease unfortunately, all the best Darryl.

That's the same illness Darren Fletcher suffers with. Hope he can overcome it to carry on playing

Third time this year the two will have met in a final. One victory each so far so tomorrow should be good.

The incredible standard continued today, 5 centuries in the 12 frames and at least one 50+ in every frame.

Very much starting to look like major ranking win number nine for Selby as he moves 6-1 ahead. Very uphill battle for Ding here now.

Question I never thought I'd ask but are there too many tournaments I mean November has 3. Surely they could have been spaced them out a bit more especially since these ain't small PTC events.

Just looked at the rankings. Ronnie down to 18

^^ As you say Darren, Ronnie down to 18th. Only in the Masters because he's defending champion... means of course that 16th position will miss out (Unless Ronnie gets back in before the cut off).

Well done Selby. Best player in the world by a long way... almost 300k in front of 2nd place in the rankings! Didn't expect the 10-1 hammering though. Selby won 18 of the last 20 frames in the tournament

The second session finishes with over 2 hours to spare and we don't get the presentation? I never understood that.

Been World Number one for 200 weeks now too - incredible considering the standard these days.

Reasonable shout, of the modern age Hendry OSullivan Higgins Davis and Williams are ahead of him. Then if you include through weight of world titles only some of the old guard like Reardon, Spencer, Pullman, Joe / Fred Davis there's still one or two spots up for grabs...whilst you could argue White, Ding, Robbo, Alex etc...you can make just as good an argument for Selby definitely

Wasn't expecting that score line. Well done Mark Selby.

Maybe something to do with the Chinese take a VERY long time with the presentation ceremonys - long winded and painful almost enough to make the finalists wish they had not got to the final methinks

Anyway Eurosport cant be arsed with all that faffing about so they tend to make their excuses and leave early. Can't say i blame them.

Yep, I know what you mean. I remember one of the Chinese tournaments, I think it was the final of the Wuxi Classic from 2013 between Robertson and Higgins and it took an age to get through the presentations.
It's always nice to hear from the players after the match though.

Incredible standard in the opening session between Murph and Bing, seven of the eight frames having a break over 75. Seems they bring the best out of each other like their world final last year.

Higgins 5-4 Bingham at the end of the first session of the final. Sets it up nicely for later, plus a good result for those of us who missed a lot of the session through the early start. Did that last week and by the time I tuned in Selby had all but won the title.
