Tomorrow's final has all the makings of a absolute cracker if both Ronnie and Higgins play like they did in the semis.
Should be a good one.

Must be the oldest final for a while, combined age is around 80 I think.

Last week's final had the same average age - John Higgins v Stuart Bingham. But this one just edges it as Ronnie is 5 months older than Bingham.

Higgins and O'Sullivan are getting through this quickly! Always good encounters between them.

Higgins should have got a longer ban like a year but not banned what lee did was much worse
I always felt like that, same with all sport cheats once they have dabbled.
So what is he guilty of ? A panel of independent judges said he didn't cheat so what makes you two think he did ?

Well Higgins was banned 6 months at the end of season and came back at the uk where before there was hardly any ranking event and his ban was for not reporting it

Two snooker all time greats, 5-4 first to 10. High quality first session, Clive Everton and Neal Foulds in the commentary box... You don't get better than this do you?

Maybe not Neal Foulds but it is very good isnt it. Great snooker from great players and Everton is a class commentator. Shame that he isnt on the BBC anymore.

Is this first year Hendry has commentated in this tournament because him and Clive together are great.

Stephen Hendry has won the most ranking titles - 36

But in joint second on 28, John Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan and Steve Davis. Will it be John or Ronnie who go second on their own ? If Higgins can carry this form into the NI Open you would have to fancy him

Well done to John. 2 wins in 2 weeks, can he make it 3 in 3 next week. Surely that would be some kind of record.

Congratulations to John Higgins. It was a great final and Higgins marginally the better player and deserved to win!

Wonder when the last time someone won a tournament without making a century in the final or semi finals.

Well deserved from Higgins, although it looked like Ronnie wasnt overly bothered in the last frame. But it is good to see Ronnie back on the tour. Hopefully he can add a ranking title this season. Well done Higgins on the second title in as many weeks, nice to see him getting back to top form.

Some Asian syndicate cleaning up on the 16/1 for the trophy to be dropped.

I love seeing Higgins playing well, the best all round player ever imo.

Second tournament in a row Higgins has really turned it on in the final session of the final, with some surprisingly bold shot selections en route incidentally. Never has the phrase form is temporary class is permanent been more appropriate.

Yep. I was saying that last week. When Higgins is in full flow, nobody can touch him.

Remarkable given you could count the number of matches he's won on one hand this season, Luca Brecel has just whitewashed Shaun Murphy 4-0. Seems to happen to the magician a lot lately, in perfectly good nick himself but then runs into someone who suddenly plays inspired Snooker!

This will mean Ronnie now pulling out of the Welsh, Irish and Scottish events, Hearn will be seething.
You'd better go and nobble him then, he's on in a few hours 😛

Simple 4-0 win again today for Higgins, his unbeaten run continues. Although he was expected to beat Peter Davison with ease anyway.

Surprise to see Shaun Murphy lose 0-4 to Luca Brecel. Maybe Brecel will start to live up to the heights expected of him a few years ago.

Jimmy had a few nifty clearances there in winning 4-2 over Gareth Allen, but boy at time that was a hard watch even for a diehard like me. Still, should be fun watching him against the rocket 🚀
