Interesting stat that if Mark Selby wins today he will become the sixth player to win each triple crown event on multiple occasions.

Marco Fu had a great chance to win the match (and probably would have) had he not had that horrendous kick.
Therefore is there a good case of having a similar system to tennis's appeals system where a player can appeal if there has been a gross injustice. I don't mean bring in Hawk-Eye (but if that is feasible and useful then why not?) and I don't mean a player can appeal on every kick. But in Marco Fu's case when it was such a bad kick and obviously crucial to the match and that everyone would agree it seems an injustice not to do anything.

124 for Ronnie to start with

Come on Ronnie, if he can get in and score early he has a chance.

They don't call him sat nav Selby at all, only you do Dennis. 😀

Ronnie getting hammered.

Ronnie is only amazing in small amounts. The last frame against Marco Fu last night and the opening frame of this match. But he's not quite the powerhouse player he used to be but he's still a major title contender.

This match looks like it's done. Ronnie hasn't really shown the form to come back from 6:2 and I don't see Selby's form dipping that much.

O'Sullivan's target has to be 3 of the first 4 of the first mini session tonight. A 5-7 deficit going into the last session wouldn't be insurmountable, tough ask of course though, needs an inspirational 2 or 3 frame one visit burst.

This dead game is over.

Ronnie really has to pull a finger out and now or this might not last another interval

I don't understand why people seem to think that Selby is not a good break builder and rarely makes big breaks, always wins scrappy frames etc...

Do people not know that he is 5th on the all time century makers list? Only Ronnie O'Sullivan, Stephen Hendry, John Higgins and Neil Robertson have made more century breaks than Selby.

All over. Shame. Just don't enjoy seeing Ronnie not play to his ability.

Im sure there will be a late surge from Ronnie. No way will he just make it that easy but I still think Selby will win in the end.

Shame it's the interval, with the Rocket rocking. Oh well we can enjoy Hazel's plunging neckline.

I think this is a good discussion.

For me an issue is where is the young upcoming talent? The last player I can remember joining the top group of players is Judd Trump.

I agree with John. For first round have them playing someone closer to their ranking. That at least gives them a chance.

Ronnie's gone back to sleep in the interval.

Interval may have come at wrong time for Ronnie.
