Yeah Barry may be tough to beat. Can see him getting the better of either other semi finalist if he keeps that play up. I still hope Ronnie can win it.

Me too Clarky, great performance in a good game

Unfortunately Gibman isn't a snooker fan

I suspect the sponsors were wanting a trump v osullivan final.

One of the reasons I have fallen out of love with snooker is there are too many jouneymen 35-40s in the top 16 and the so called young explosion never happened particularly from China

Journeymen unfairly implies that they aren't much cop whereas the truth is the likes of Hawkins and Bingham have raised their game to unprecedented levels. You've only got to see how Barry performed this afternoon and Bing did in last years world champs to see that.

Besides I thought your faith had been restored (post 10250)? 😛

Well if Ronnie wins this title he matches the record of victories with Hendry and the only record he has not equalled or broken is Hendrys seven World Titles which i dont think will ever be broken in our lifetime

Yes I remember that this is a good proper traditional tournament the masters , the world as well, even the uk seems to have been downgraded

I don't enjoy a lot of those conveyor belt , tennis court type tournaments the first to 4 etc

In truth, the frames have been as untidy as Ronnie's quiff

At least he has the ability to have a quiff, unlike egg

I think even I could have potted that red Stuart just missed. Ronnie not exactly punishing him this frame.

Getting quite annoying now with this calling out. I know it is bound to happen when Ronnie plays. But not every shot and when Stuart is in the middle of a shot. I think even John Virgo has mentioned this.

Wow. What a mad 5 minutes of Snooker that was.

Crazy atmosphere with the crowd too. They're being very vocal tonight.

My God, that black off the green spot. I would have wagered a lot of money on that not going in. What a shot that was, what a bloody shot. Stunning play from Ronnie then.

PS agree re the crowd. Everyone is entitled to their favourites but I really do not like cheering when an opponent misses. That is poor. Cheer for your guy by all means but don't disrespect his opponent. Just rude and immature

I read last year they were selling cheap Masters snooker tickets at the World Darts, them both being at the Ally Pally. I wonder if it's the case this year too as there does seem an element untypical of a snooker event. That said, the Masters historically is more vocal than the other tournaments.

I was wondering if it's perhaps a Saturday night session thing. Maybe some of them have had a few drinks before coming to the venue. Feels a bit like that to me.

I’ve still yet to see a bad world champion.

And I will be waiting a long time to see one.

35, 36 or 38 years of age is many players peak, just like it has always been.
