Hey guys put all your money on Barry Hawkins to win tomorrow as Ronnie has done his back in again

Only Ronnie O'Sullivan could get into the final of a major tournament and have an interview like that.

Do you think Ronnie actually gives a toss about those fans shouting for him ? The ones who have paid good money to see him ? I don't think he does. He cannot get out of the arena quick enough. At least the other players sign autographs for the fans and the kids. Not the Rocket. He certainly isn't a good egg.

No Bingham is the egg and i think Ronnie cares about the fans and he said he loves playing in London because of the support

What an incredible red for the blue, go on Ronnie.

But where are the young players? In the 90s we had O'Sullivan, Higgins, Willams, Doherty etc. regularly winning or getting to the final of the big competitions and all in their 20s. We don't see that now so much with the exception of Trump.

Kyren Wilson won the Shanghai Masters a few months back and Michael White won his first major last year, both are 24, but the truth is it's more competitive further in depth than it used to be and a lot of young talent are struggling to make an impact.

It is disappointing though - with the new open format of the tournaments it should be easier for them to break through than in the past.

The one that I didn't like was when someone shouted out 'come on Ronnie' when Stuart Bingham was still at the table after he failed to land on a red. I'll bet even Ronnie felt a bit embarrassed at that moment.

Good match tonight and that red from Ronnie when he was striking down to hold for the blue Incredible shot! Not to mention the black to the middle a few frames earlier (And the red that followed that black wasn't bad either!).

I'm hoping Barry can continue the form he has been showing this week in the final as I think he could really give Ronnie a good game and maybe even win it! If Ronnie wins the first few frames then you could see another one-sided Masters final.

I don't have anything against him at all, honestly. I just think he really looks like an egg.

I can see it being a quick match. Neither player takes their time.

If you don't have anything against him, why were you so happy that he lost?

Your post here seems to suggest that you do have something against him. Do you not like the way he plays the game? I find it hard to believe that you can not like a snooker player just because of the way he looks... but I may be mistaken.

I'm just glad Higgins is out, he smells of raspberries.

Conversely that is one of the reasons I love snooker. The unpredictability, the upsets, and the so called 'journeymen' that can come out of the shadows and win the world title (like last year) Sean Murphy was unseeded I believe when he won in Sheffield. Graeme Dott won the world title as the 14th seed.

Never forget Bob Chaperon's antics at The British Open either!

It does happen in other sports, but not so often. Snooker throws up so many wonderful stories.

Getting sick of hearing Ronnie moaning in interviews. He's in the final of the masters for Christ sake. Don't know if he's still with that guy who I think was a psychologist and really helped him get his head right. I know he's had back problems and maybe I'm being a bit harsh on him but would be nice to hear him being more positive.

To be fair with Ronnie,he has high standards and was clearly disappointed how he played even though he won.

Its the same in every interview though even when he plays out of this world. If he wins today it will be the same.

I wouldn't rule out the hawk winning this. Probably a lot thinking it will be one sided but Barry has proved he's a force to be reckoned with.

Even though he's been the best this tournament, I don't think he's been out of this world. He's a perfectionist and there's only a handful of people like him around.

I didn't mean in this tournament. I meant over the years when he has played unbelievable snooker he then says how crap he played. I know he has high standards but things he comes out with are just ridiculous.

The fact that he was dissatisfied with his play does tell us that his mind is well on the game.
