I always thought this but I'm not sure you know, if he can win the Masters still then it is really on, I think he can play this standard till about 45.

Well I'm with Virgo, Ronnie is the greatest ever.

In some ways I think what Ronnie is doing is more impressive. Stephen won five of his world titles on the bounce. Not to take anything away from that.. he was unbeatable at the time and clearly brilliant at the game. But I think for a player to win finals spread across the career Ronnie has had.. I think that's more of an achievement personally.

I'd be amazed if Ronnie won 8 world titles to be honest, he's going to keep looking to find his best game which is going to prove harder and harder to find as old father time marches on, he'll get fed up with not playing to how he thinks he should be playing and jack it in imo.

Doesn't stop me thinking when his head's right he is the best of all time though.

How anybody can dislike Barry Hawkins is beyond me. Shows they don't know snooker. Very likeable guy and a real credit to the sport.

Well done to ronnie. Not at his best but still romped to victory. Barry can hold his head up. He played well all week. It just wasn't his day.

I'm probably more of a traditionalist and liked the big gold one they used to have when it was the B&H Masters.

Am I right in thinking that The Masters is the second oldest event to the Worlds ? I have a feeling its been held a little more than the UK

I had the A-Z of 25 years of the B+H Masters on VHS. Kinda regret getting rid of it now.

Couldn't watch it, but it would make a good conversation piece

They all love him. He's box office. Barry probably pays him just to turn up with a bonus if he makes the final.

One sided final as it was always going to be.

More frightening for the rest in that osullivan probably has a few more gears to find

Every time Ronnie wins a TV final I think to myself "Ah well that's it.. the last time. It's been fun." and then he goes and wins another one.

World championship will soon be here as well. Will have to book time off for that.

The Alex Higgins documentary on BBC 2. Brilliant if you've not seen it before.
