Watched a bit of the Gould match earlier, did anyone else see his shot when he used the bridge and extension! First time I seen that in a while

Another cracking quarter final night in Germany! Only three deciders this time though and no 147 break.

Interesting semi final line up, looking forward to Luca Brecel v Kyren Wilson in the evening... could well be the beginning of a new rivalry. Two young, very talented players! Could be the future of the sport.

Good chance for Brecel to finally show his promise. Wilson has done it already but Brecel has never shown his full potential for me.

Some very nervy stuff the longer the game went on, just as well Gouldy closed it out before it got any closer! Poor old Dotty couldn't get going at all.

Yep, very good win for the self proclaimed 'GOAT' well apart from Hendy...and O'Sullivan...and Davis...and Davis....and Davis....and....you get the drift

Don't know what others think, But Kyren Wilson reminds a lot of a young Mark Selby. Very similar play style. Able to win when not playing his best (Yes, I know he's currently losing 3-0 but he doesn't give up!).

Not the quickest player, Isn't all out attacking but always seems to go for them at the right time and most of the time plays the right shot.

Not a lover of people bragging about winning bets, but quite proud of myself for tipping Luca before the telly stages each way at 50/1, even if the little bugger has aged me ten years on his way to the final lol

Ah nice one mate, great tipping. Is it a 1/3 odds for a place ? Tight bookies. So at least you're guaranteed a few quid at least

Cheers Darren, the bottom half of the draw was so wide open it was ripe for an outsider to make the final, I just got lucky. It's half the odds for a place, they got the return wrong (should be £154 if he wins, £52 if runner up) 👍🏻

Nice one TC. I said at the start of the season I thought Brecel would win a major event this season.

Still the most promising youngster for me, so advanced for his age, can't believe he's still only 20.

Gouldy's potting them off the lampshade tonight, maybe there is something in this sight right technology he uses. Surely he's not going to blow his first major from here?

Why dont they hold The Masters at the German Masters venue it is way better than Alexandra Palace plus it is lot bigger which means a better atmosphere and nearly all the snooker players say they love playing there

Guess UK is the heartland of Snooker.
If you took the Masters away, would it be harder to justify UK Campionship in York and Worlds in Sheffield?
The Masters is the only major snooker in London.

I believe in the past the UK had more big events, but has spread the game to China and Europe.

Because Matchroom probably have a deal with Ally Pally for the darts and snooker there.
