Ronnie is playing his best snooker in years. Not seen much of this tournament because of work but I saw his match against tian and that was just flawless snooker. Apparently robbo is also playing great so I just hope its him and Ronnie in the final.

Are them figures reasonable still? As in good enough yo keep Snooker on the BBC for the foreseeable future?
It's not so much the figures but if the cost justifies showing it. Remember the BBC have to cut costs. The snooker gets less than a 1970s repeat of Dads Army so it's certainly not as popular as it was but it's certainly not finished either

Allen arguing with the referee. Acceptable?

Terrific semi-final this, Allen making a real fight of it to close from 2-5 to 4-5.

I wouldn't say he was arguing, it's ok to question it but he asked for footage and everything and he dragged it out which is wrong I think.

A refs decision is final right? weather he is correct or not.

Bit unlucky not to force a decider ultimately Allen. He'd been better off missing that last red by a bigger margin, unfortunately he was so close it rattled and stayed over the pocket

And how does that rank against other sports shown on the BBC?

If you look at the Barb website you can look at the top 10 or top 30 for each channel for any given week

Ronnie seems to be getting better the older he gets. By the time he's 50 he'll be unbearable.

Incredible standard from these two so far. Two centuries for Ronnie and a 139 & a 92 from Joe Perry!

Ronnie up to 9 centuries for this tournament now! that's ridiculous considering matches have been best of 7!

They were praising the crowd earlier but I think they have been a tad disappointing this week. No applause when at 'snookers needed stage' quite a lot of the time plus some great shots have gone unnoticed

Fair play to Joe, three frames is the least he deserves from his contribution in this match.

I don't think Ronnie's long game as ever been as good as it is now. That's supposed to go when you get older not get better.

Can't wait for final tomorrow. I really hope they both perform at their best. Should be an absolute cracker.

I remember a few years ago when his long game was the weak part in his game!

Ronnie looks unstoppable at the moment. I'd like to think Robertson can give him a good game tomorrow but there's a feeling at the back of my mind that it could just be another easy victory for Ronnie.

Looking forward to it either way!

I don't think this final will be as one sided as some think. Robbo is more than capable of winning this no matter how well Ronnie plays but he'll have to start better than he did against Allen because we know how good Ronnie is when he's in front.

Who has said it will be one sided ? I don't think for one minute it will be. In fact I have backed Robbo
