I wonder if ronnie is watching this? Do feel sorry for barry. Hopefully if he can't win this match at least make score look respectable.

I'd love to know from a regular viewer (I just watch worlds/masters/the odd tourney on ITV4) - why does Barry always come down to that kind of music? UK garage music circa 1999-2002ish.
It goes with this Kent wideboy image I have of him. |

Joke of a player. Best of the lot yet. You don't make 3 Crucible semi finals by being poor do you ?
Why do some posters have to take it out on the player who beat their favourite ? |

Barry needs to win this session 3:1 to have any real chance tonight.

Strangely, statistically over the last ten years there have been more comebacks from 5-11 than 6-10 (2 to 0)!

10;6, game on. Baz will definitely be happier than he was earlier. Could be a very interesting night especially with Higgins v macca as well.

I remember robbo doing it against Gould. It's certainly possible especially now Barry seems to have found his rhythm.

Will it make a difference with the screen down again tonight or is that an irrelevance
Seemed less claustrophobic this afternoon |

At least Barry Hawkins took the afternoon session 5-3, and especially from 9-1 down to get back to 10-6 was a very good effort. He might not win it from here, but win the four frames tonight before the mid session to level it, and it might just be a different story..
I have to say that although Mark Selby got past Kyren Wilson well enough, it was promising to see Kyren come back from 6-0 down and make a reasonable game of it. He also at least currently has the highest break of the tournament which may yet stand to the end of the tournament. (it's worth noting that only one 147 at the Crucible has been done on the one table setup) Higgins v McManus could go either way but I'd still fancy John Higgins to get through, and a semi against Ding could be mighty, especially if Ding carries on his very good form. Tricky to know which match to watch tonight but I might see the first few of Fu - Hawkins and see how that pans out and make a decision... |

Alan McManus has the best walk-on music.

I think they go on sale the same time as the UK Champs which is tomorrow morning at 10am
In the meantime, another one for Barry and 10-9 now. Next frame massive. |

I suggest if he wins this match that he could be the world champion at long last - after his last few years on the biggest stage of all who would say he does not deserve it (apart from pitiful fanboys)?

I really like Barry Hawkins. He seems like a nice bloke, and I like watching him play - he just sort of gets on with it quietly without any fuss. Nothing against Fu, who I also like, but I'd love to see Barry make a comeback here.
I still haven't been this year, which feels very odd. I think it's the first time since 2003, or maybe 2002, where I haven't been at all. The sessions have all seemed really pricey when I've looked, and I've been limited to evenings and weekends, which makes it harder. If I had any annual leave left (I never plan this right!) I could have gone to some morning sessions. Oh well. |

Hawkins can't even make a break without his flukes. Joke of a player. As above comments, hope Ding gets it this year over Mark 'boring' Selby or John 'I'm not a cheat' Higgins.
He lost. |
